High Prices, Average Food

Great location on Main Street. Stopped in for breakfast. Even with the expectation of Nantucket prices (calculate NYC x 1.5), we found the menu overpriced. Omelettes were, however, huge, if a big overcooked. Four eggs? Five? Side potatoes were well prepared. Service was fast and friendly... read more

We ate dinner with our family at Arno's on Friday during the Christmas Stroll weekend. The food quality all around was poor. The filet mignon was not filet mignon and unedible - (I returned the entire plate) - the vegetables were drenched in some salty, brown sauce, the hamburger was a patty, some dinners were served cold and one meal... My husband and I went for breakfast during the Christmas Stroll; after getting seats at the bar right away, we proceeded to wait for OVER an hour for our breakfasts. How long can breakfast really take? I ordered bacon and an English muffin and my husband ordered a ham and cheese omelet with toast; I mean, really?! The ONLY reason... More

Good location downtown on one of the main streets. Stopped in for lunch, it was early so not much of a crowd, but that quickly changed. Service was quick, helpful and friendly. Menu had a large selection of items. We had quahog chowder, never had it prior, it was rich creamy with a taste of some herbs, tender pieces of... More

We had breakfast here and unless these eggs came from Royal Hens then we can't understand nor justify their 'high end' prices. It was probably the most bland, tasteless breakfast we had ever had. We don't mind paying 'designer' prices for a deserving breakfast but this breakfast was nothing to rave about. Service wasn't good either.

I have to disagree with some of the reviews; while the menu items might have seen expensive, the price was typical of the island and was justified by the quality of the ingredients. The menu items (lobster roll and fish tacos) were fresh and tasty. The service was outstanding. I ordered a drink that was not to my satisfaction and... More

After seeing the commercial for Arnos on the Hy-line ferry and also in the local paper, we decided to give it a try as we were all in the craving for eggs benedict. The menu offerings were great! the organic options fabulous to see, the prices leave a lot to desire. So expensive! The restaurant itself is open and friendly,... More

We dropped into Arnos for a quick breakfast and were surprised by the fact that we were the only patrons.... until we glanced at the menu. I have been to many high end restaurants for breakfast, but none with prices like this! The plain pancakes were expensive to begin with, but if you wanted blueberries on them it was an... More

This is too expensive even for main st Nantucket. $25 for a BLT?? I was outvoted on going here. 3 of us- 1 fish taco dish which looked very good but I did not taste. But said to be good. 1 fried oyster dish. I had fried clam dish. No flavor at all- especially after having perfect ones a few... More

Located in downtown on Main Street, it is a charming brick and open spaced bar. Not a lot of people were there on an August weekday, around 1pm, so we had great service. Immediately seated and served drinks. Dark and cool atmosphere was just what we needed from walking around all day. Music was a little loud for a sparsely... More
