Delicious brunch!

Came here for brunch after reading good reviews online and we were not disappointed. The place is very cramped and VERY hot so dress accordingly. Service was good but not awesome. Prices were reasonable. Food was absolutely delicious (we had curry scramble and French toast)! Would come here again.

I can not understand why all the hoopla over this place. Basic quality meals with very little to make it such a stand out. I had the corned beer hash with eggs and some toast and would not order that again. My wife's Thai eggs were much better than my meal. The place is not just small, but cramped as... More

The place is very small (35) but a nice friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was to die for best we ever had. We had the Portuguese Scramble and it was delicious.

We arrived to black eyed Susan's waited for 25 min for the table. When the table was ready our friends were down the block. We were given the attitude of "we sat you down and we don't sit down incomplete parties". Mean while our friends walked in one min late. We order and then all but one dish of food... More

After years of walking past the long lines I finally had time to arrive early in the season and a quiet night to enjoy this place. I had sardines for appetizer and halibut for dinner. The food really was wonderful and now i understand the lines... What a unique and lovely place. This is one of the gems that makes... More

By far, my favorite restaurant even thought they only take cash or check, no A/C, no advanced reservations, BYOB! Last night salmon with assorted ingredients including SPAM. I never ate Spam but they twisted my arm and I'm glad they did. I already can't wait to go back.

It may be hard to find BES's, but you'll be happy you did. Casual, old school diner feel (complete with counter). Very good food and bottomless coffee. The Huevos Rancheros are excellent.

I had read good reviews on this breakfast place but we were disappointed. Food ok and waiters not friendly. They don't seem very interested in being there. Noticed others feeling the same. Venue small.

The food is great, but the restaurant is not air conditioned and the kitchen is in the dining room. Really. If it's hot and humid don't even think about dining here. They only Take reservations for six p.m., but if you call after 6:15 they will allow you to make a same night reservation, subject to availability.

I have dined at BlackEyed Susan's and the hostess Caroline is absolutely lovely, the menu is interesting and the idea of BYOB is appealing. However, 20 minutes into dinner the kitchen was fired up and the restaurant was stifling. The chef has been traveling in the Far East (Vietnam?) and is bringing back some interesting ideas but heavy handed on... More
