Yes Another Quick Review

I refuse to write another great review, it will simply be to tell you to go. Chef Todd has made another trip to Asia, and the menu shows it from the amazing pork chop soup thru the great meals. Bring a good wine, BYOB.

My wife and I have gone to Black-Eyed Susan's several times for breakfast only because it was conveniently located to our son's home. It is not the "best" breakfast on the Island; in fact it's probably one of the last places to go for breakfast despite its popularity during high season. Scrambled eggs are not completely scrambled & over-cooked...the hash... More

Have been going to Black Eyed Susan's for around 19 years, never disappoints! Breakfast is the best on island, and dinner is inventive, delicious, nutritious, provides lots of fresh fish options. Can't go wrong. We also love it because it's BYOB. Don't be surprised or deterred by the line...it moves fairly quickly.

The food here is inventive, visually pleasing and Oh! so good to eat! Freshest ingredients, paired with creative culinary flair in a relaxed atmosphere. If you are lucky enough to sit at the bar and engage the chef (who is constantly asking how you like your food) in conversation you will learn how his travels inspire his cooking. It's BYOB so... Wow what flavors sums it up. Our dinners were amazing but the "beet" salad was a show stopper. The staff is friendly and knows every dish. The chef puts on a "show" when preparing the meal. Call it entertainment. Can't wait to go back and try other meals.

Casual, excellent food (known for the Caesar Salad, Fetticini with Clam sauce, and the Tuna Tartar - also you can bring your own wine. It is always a wonderful experience.

My daughter and I had the trout stuffed with herbs and vegetables and resting in the most delicious pear sauce I've ever tasted. It was really good. The only downer was the hard bread served a la carte (no mention by waiter that it cost an extra $5). It was inedible. Also the maitre d was a a bit pretentious,... More

We were sad to see B.E.S. closed for breakfast this morning. It was one of two places we wanted to eat at. Then tonite, while out looking for a place to have a drink and something. Light we saw it was open. Quick drive around the block and in we went. While there was room at the bar they were... More

Went there on their first morning open for the season. Great little place. Fast service, excellent food - loved the curry flavored black-eyed peas option, and a delicious veg scramble. Not the best coffee in town, but the food was worth it.

This was one of the best meals we've had in a long time! A small, cozy restaurant where you can watch your meal being made if you sit at the bar. My husband and I split 2 appetizers and a salad, which left room for dessert! Creative and unique ingredients. We had the thai sausage special, lamb and sour cherry... More
