It was a busy spot but we got up early and were able to secure a patio table for 8. The coffee was good and the breakfast menu was varied. The server however was rude.

Breakfast was good but not special. Prices were on high side, as expected on the Island. Very loud as it is small and cramped. Only complaint was that, coffee was never served hot, even after several cup refills

Recommended by friends who were also in town for the wedding. We were told that its a pretty busy breakfast joint and to arrive before 9 am to avoid a line. We got their at 8:50 am and sure enough a line was already forming. Luckily, we were a party of two and we were okay sitting at the counter.... More

Went here for dinner at 6 pm when they take reservations. Food was well prepared and the place is friendly and casual. Although the ingredients were fresh and tasty I didn't think it was of the same caliber as other recommended restaurants.

We got a table outside, in the patio area. You can bring your own wine. I had a fish dish and it was delicious. Something on the menu for everyone. Great service and atmosphere. Call ahead, early in the day to check on reservation times in the evening. Great food, charming....and busy.

Dining out on Nantucket isn't cheap but here is a way to enjoy excellent food and not break the budget. Our table of 8 had a great time and ate outside in the alley which was far more comfortable than inside would've been on a muggy evening. Being able to bring your own wine - or whatever- is both fun... More

SO GOOD! The coffee is stinkin amazing as was the Thai Scramble, the French Toast with Blueberries and the Special Home Fries. It was really hot inside, but the staff and other diners were so pleasant we didn't mind. We'll go back again for sure!! Yum!

We always make it a point to visit BES when we are on Island. Great pancakes, corned beef hash & huevos rancheros. Go early in the morning as no AC. Its way too hot after about 8:30AM. Also try BES for dinner. Nice menu & BYOB. Call for reservations- but again no AC, so don't go if the day has... More

This restaurant gets high ratings for good food at what constitutes a reasonable price on Nantucket. They take reservations over the phone for the first seating of the evening at 6PM, which is early for dinner, but suits families with children just fine. They are BYOB, with a very reasonable $2 corkage fee, which is also nice. When I called,... More

go for the pancakes and eggs...can't imagine what other meals are like since the place is small and not where one would linger for a good meal
