i have not experienced the breakfast here, which seems to be what this place is built for. BES has been around for awhile, but apparently the dinner thing is relatively new? anyway there are three seatings a night -- 6pm, 730pm, and 9pm. okay, and here's the other very crucial thing you need to know: NO CREDIT CARDS. yes, that... This place offers tasty breakfasts and is worth the visit. Very small seating area inside so you will have to wait. We were able to sit outside where a couple of umbrella tables are located within a small alley way. We preferred this to sitting inside. Not a place for small children.

Eating at Black-Eyed Susan's is always a treat. The menu is creative and often a surprise. We have never been disappointed.

Usually I don't even eat breakfast, but when I do I go to the Fog Island Cafe. Decided to mix it up a bit by going to Black Eyed Susan's. Had to wait outside for about 1/2 hr. Then we were seated at a small table right next to the door. I know it's a tiny place, but really -... More

This is by far one of the best breakfast places that you can go to while on Nantucket Island. I love the French toast. It's a little wait to sit usually, but it's worth every minute.

Every time were in Nantucket we eat breakfast here when we can.The food quality is absolutely fantastic. The only downside, there's usually a wait, this is a very small place and during the summer it is hot hot hot. They don't know about air-conditioning. Even with the downside, we absolutely love this place.

The food here never disappoints. For breakfast there is usually a wait but it's well worth it. The Dutch style pancakes are delicious! And dinner is just as good. It's also byob so bring some champagne for mimosas or a bottle of wine for dinner.

Great Sunday brunch - had to wait about 15 minutes for a table but had a totally enjoyable meal. Good coffee, yummy French toast, perfectly crisp bacon, tasty "scramble" with linguica, but the high point was the grits. Absolutely buttery with a little texture left to them. And watching the incredibly efficient and orchestrated service was lots of fun. A... More

Sometimes, timing can be everything. Honestly, Black Eyed Susan's probably would be best visited in the off, or shoulder season. Unless you don't mind waiting a solid hour for your table for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. It's popular...very popular. That said, I found the food to be quite good. My Thai egg-scramble was delicious. My wife was not over-the-top... More
