Description: Ventuno is an island restaurant inspired by the frascas of Italy, small farmhouses which opened themselves up to friends and neighbors with wine and homemade food. Chefs Gabriel Frasca and Amanda Lydon delight in imagining Nantucket shellfish, fish and produce in Italian hands. House-cut pasta and simple takes on the bounty of sea and land are complemented by a wide-ranging wine list from the world over, including Italy, France, Spain and California. Drink and eat our entire menu on either dining room floor or bar, or the open-air back bar, with comfortable service and the inviting breeze of the ocean.

The atmosphere inside is moody and perfect; not too bright, not too dim. I want to bring that decor style to our home. The food was amazing, and the service was great. Friendly waitstaff, very attentive yet laid back. We were given dessert to go so we could enjoy later. Fantastic place; we'll go back next trip!

Flying in from Boston on a Friday night in November means options are limited. Ventuno has opened up since I last visited and what a great thing! The staff are wonderful and welcoming. I didn't get a chance to eat here, but the food we saw come out looked fab and the other patrons seemed to be enjoying it! Look... More

We travel to Nantucket every year so we've dined at many island restaurants, and I have to say that Ventuno is now my new favorite and one I will return to again and again. The decor is lovely, the overall atmosphere is comfortable and not pretentious in the least. Service was attentive and I found our waiter to be extremely... More

Food is good. Ambiance and acoustics need help. Restaurant is too noisy and they play the wrong kind of music and they play it loudly. Ate at 6 restaurants during my recent stay. This was the most expensive and least favorite.

On our last night we ate here. Loved the atmosphere here! The server was nice, a bit slow, but very cordial, as was all the staff here. We were not rushed at all and were seated in a cute private table for 2. The meals were excellent, but not plentiful. I had the risotto and my husband had tortellini. As... More

My dinner was quite salty. Cheese stuffed ravioli was very good; Duck very good; salad excellent. Service was pleasant, but not especially attentive. We were seated 20 minuites after our reservation time; waited quite some time to be addressed at all and finally to get our orders taken . Slow throughout the evening. Might not have been so bad if... More

Ventuno, which took over 21 Federal's place, is more than a replacement. It's elegant but friendly, big but intimate, crowded but relaxed. But more than the decor, the food is absolutely fabulous. Locally sourced where possible, but the genuine Italian twist put on local seafood, with local herbs, seasonings and spices, is just superb. Had two dinners there recently, one... More

Ventuno (the reincarnation of 21 Federal) continues to be one of our favourite Nantucket restaurants and we dine there quite a few times during the course of our four month summer sojourn on the island. Consistency is the key here: we have never had a disappointing meal and some courses have been exceptional. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the... More

I ate here for the first time this past Saturday. I was slightly nervous and hesitant as I really enjoyed the old 21 Federal, but our bartender friend - who we've been seeing there for 7 years - assured us the food was great so we tried it. Overall our party really enjoyed the food. Service was excellent and our... More

We have been visiting ACK for 5 years and are always excited about new restaurants each season... Last season we passed on Ventuno as we heard some poor reviews (knowing it was in it's first season, we figured if was still around the next summer, we would try). Having enjoyed it's predecessor, 21 Federal, we decided to give it a... More
