Great place for casual dining in Ashland

I ordered a seafood stew and it was enough for both of us. It was really good and enjoyed it. I like atmosphere, but the tables were too close. It was hard to move in your own chair with out hitting the person sitting on the next table. Service was good.

We LOVE going to Stone's--especially in the winter when the fireplace is roaring. Beer selection on tap is good. Menu is not extensive--but that is a good thing--what they do, they do very well. The burgers are great--but so are the other offerings. The brown bread and soda bread on the table is the same as what you'd get in... More

This was our second visit to Stone's Public House since moving to the area a couple months ago. The dinning room has a very New England lodge feel with burning fireplaces and old wooden tables that make for a relaxing comfortable experience. On both visits we had very attentive service and when for the "Small Plates" (which really are not... More

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised they offered brunch. The food was delicious but because it was cold by the time it got to us, we had to send it back to be warmed up. My husband had an omelette which was excellent and I had the Full American Breakfast. Breakfast potatoes were better than the average - had... More

We love Stone's. It's a great pub with good food. Excellent beer selection. Trivia on Tuesdays is fun, and they have great local bands/live music.

The 150+ year-old building has a neat and well-kept appearance. The menu seems well thought out with good variety. Our party enjoyed 5 different entrees and all were satisfied. We all found the food tasty and the portions generous...the lamb shepherd's pie was a special, hearty treat.

Having recently moved to nearby Framingham we were desperate for a place to eat that wasn't a chain or otherwise mediocre at best. This cozy place has character, a unique menu with some traditional Irish favorites, is intimate yet kid friendly. I'm so glad to now have a place with inventive seafood offerings, beyond the standard fried fare or overpriced... More

On a cold and windy November day, the colcannon soup (the main course for two of us) blended the taste of leeks, potatoes, kale and other ingredients perfectly. The meatloaf (veal, pork and beef) with mashed potatoes and gravy, chosen by the third member, was hearty, nutritious and filling. Our appetizer, the three-cheese board, presented the cheeses at the right... More

I really enjoy going to Stone's...especially in the winter. The fireplace just makes it a cozy environment that makes you want to stay a while and enjoy the friendliness of the place. Food is good. I also got to experience the Sunday Brunch here while attending an anniversary party. It was delicious!! French toast was amazing.
