We tried Stones again on a weekend night, after a number of pleasant mid-week vists. The food and service were very good as usual, and except for a malfunctioning (tipping and rotating) table top, everything was fine. The one deterrant was the large numbers of small children running amok... read more

My good American friend and I needed to let the effects of the day wear off and this pub met the bill. Food was typical for a gastro pub, US stylie but was tasty and complimented the beer. Suitable for a good evening bite.

I have been several times over the past year and have noticed a substantial improvement in their meals. I have gotten some very tasty lunches and dinners where everything was a hit. I loved their mac and cheese with bacon and had their ham and cheese panini recently. A friend had their fish and chips and said it was excellent.... More

The restaurant was very busy for a Tuesday night. It's a good thing that we had made a reservation. The service was excellent, wait staff friendly and efficient. All of our meals were very delicious and hot when served to us. The calamari appetizer is fabulous and large enough to share for four people. Nice selection of entrees and appetizers.... More

Stone's Public House has been my "go-to" hang out since I moved to Ashland 4 years ago. The interior atmosphere from the old plank wood floors and the post and beam ceiling to the old brick fireplace and the gorgeous oak bar will make you feel like you've been transported back to ye olde England! The food and selection of... More

I ordered a seafood stew and it was enough for both of us. It was really good and enjoyed it. I like atmosphere, but the tables were too close. It was hard to move in your own chair with out hitting the person sitting on the next table. Service was good.

We LOVE going to Stone's--especially in the winter when the fireplace is roaring. Beer selection on tap is good. Menu is not extensive--but that is a good thing--what they do, they do very well. The burgers are great--but so are the other offerings. The brown bread and soda bread on the table is the same as what you'd get in... More

This was our second visit to Stone's Public House since moving to the area a couple months ago. The dinning room has a very New England lodge feel with burning fireplaces and old wooden tables that make for a relaxing comfortable experience. On both visits we had very attentive service and when for the "Small Plates" (which really are not... More

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised they offered brunch. The food was delicious but because it was cold by the time it got to us, we had to send it back to be warmed up. My husband had an omelette which was excellent and I had the Full American Breakfast. Breakfast potatoes were better than the average - had... More
