Always a Treat

I recently has brunch here with my niece. We ate in the lounge because the dining room was full. The lounge was perfect, we had a nice table beside a window. My niece had the turkey sandwich which was so big she ended up taking half of it home. I had bacon & eggs with home fries. They were very... read more

Recently my husband and I enjoyed a nice lunch at Stone's and luckily got a table by the fire. Great food, beer and service.

The former inn itself retains all the charm of a historic New England inn. Eat either to the left in the pub part or to the right in the dining room..both have beautiful fireplaces. Lately, we have been getting reservations to be sure we get a table in the dining room, as it's a little quieter there. But both sides... More

A "haunted" former inn, Stone's is a gem. The decor is exceptional, this picture really shows the coziness of the bar, and there is an equally appointed dining room. The food is good, I love the burgers, pastrami sandwich, and they do have a la carte dinners. But the drinks and the bartenders are the best, one of the best... More

If you sit at the bar, expect terrible service. They need more help. Food is just ok. Chili is excellent. Sandwiches are bad. Order the burgers or fish and chips.

Better than your average pub food and good selection of beers. Definitely make a reservation. We sat in the bar area which is lively and can be loud at times. Scallops app was ok. Calamari app is quite good and I would order again. Fish and chips is quite good and the Stones milk stout wonderful!

What to say about a national historic inn that is on the top haunted places list in the US. Well really, it is a quaint inn with pub like food and a very warm new England atmosphere. The ambiance is varied depending on when you go. Brunch is awesome. Lunch is great and dinner OK. Evenings on the weekend can... More

Had lunch here with family and it was tasty. We all enjoyed our food, the service was prompt and efficient. Nice rustic atmosphere that was conducive to conversation.

I wish that I could transport this place to a spot closer to my home! It is a very old building so it has atmosphere in the form of beams and fireplaces, but it also has been updated so it is bright and comfortable. There is parking on the street or in the back of the building, and it has... More

Everything about this place was terrific. It was charming, had tons of atmosphere, the waitstaff were attentive, helpful, and patient (many questions asked about food and building since it was our first time there). The corned beef hash was made differently than the norm and ever so scrumptious, over easy eggs cooked to perfection, and the toast was delicious. Everyone... More
