The TripAdvisor reviews were pretty positive for this establishment, so we thought we would give it a try. The overall dining experience was quite good. The service was excellent with an attentive and respectful waiter. The appetizers were the only "fair" part of our experience. The Calamari was more breading than Squid, the cheese plate was just good - the... More

Arrived early for Dine Out Boston Week and they had no problem finding a table! Servers were very knowledgeable and so pleasant. On top of that food was great too- I am still raving about the peach pie- just the right sweet-tart mix and crust was perfect. The high top tables were nicely laid out but when you are 5"... More

We had a very early dinner at Tryst on a Monday night, so there was no crowd to contend with - we pretty much had our outstanding server all to ourselves. But his undivided attention was not what made him outstanding - he was very knowledgeable about the menu, he was approach-ably nice and he did everything you would expect... More

Visited Tryst for brunch with a friend. Service was very pleasant and friendly. Good was very good, though portions were not huge. Prices were reasonable.

We walked in on a Wednesday night at 5:25, almost an empty restaurant except for some people at the bar. We did not have a reservation, we walked in off the street after deciding we'd like to try it. In a nutshell, our server was cold and pretty unfriendly. After reading several reviews here stating the friendly service, I was... More

We've been to Tryst three times in the last year, most recently for Father's Day. Each time it's been terrific. The food is very good. And the service is friendly and attentive -without being overly casual or attentive; perfect combination for this kind of meal. While all the "breakfast" items were good (try the wild mushroom omelette - terrific), we... More

Went to Tryst twice in past few months, seated near bar once and in back restaurant another. Biggest gripe is restaurant is quite dark and noisy. Hard to see food, or to hear others at table. Little candles on table are nice touch, which I always like, but I also like to see where I am! Excellent burgers and very... More

We have eaten at Tryst many times, as well as simply had drinks at the bar. As a matter of fact, we prefer the bar when eating as to be near the "action" as it were? We love Andrew and Paul the bartenders, who make a great drink, and are quick with an order and a joke. There is ample... More

I went to Tryst with my mom. I had bought a groupon for a 4 course dinner. The food was very good, but I didn't like the fact that people with a groupon were asked to sit at the less fancy side of the restaurant which was a bit noisy. The truffle fries are very good. It is a bit... More
