I am one of those terrible diners who usually doesn't try much outside my comfort zone -- it's a wide comfort zone, but still... The first time I tried Indian food I was less than impressed. We ate at Punjab tonight with an Indian couple. They explained everything - even took my husband over to see the tandoor. They made... More

I work in a neighborhood that has a lot of Indian restaurants and I eat lunch in them regularly. Despite that I always look forward to having a dinner at Punjab. A wide variety of authentic (and delicious) Indian food, coupled with an excellent selection of Indian breads is a great way to spend an evening with friends or family... More

Our party of 4 found the ambiance and service was quite nice, and the entrees were very good. The only disappointment was the samozas. Both the vegetable and meat samozas were only so-so, and since that is what my mouth was really watering for, I was disappointed. Won't keep me from returning, tho.

The food is not good. The trash pick up is 4:30AM in the morning and disturb the neighborhood with loud noises. DO NOT go to this inconsiderate restaurant.

We had a great meal after a tiring day. The place has great ambience when compared to many indian restaurants. Not only the ambience I was impressed with hygiene. Regarding the food we ordered rotis which were fabulous, butter chicken, dal tadka, paneer vindaloo which were excellent, keema curry, kulfi which were good and mutton roganjosh which was below average.... There are plenty of places to eat in a crowded Arlington food scene. But there's a reason Punjab is a local institution. Up and down the menu, their food is simply delicious. It's definitely not the cheapest Indian fare, but it's clearly the best.

Punjab caters to the well-heeled American eater. A lot of the Indian restaurants in the US are dull, drab, not well maintained and suffer from mediocre service. Most Indians are used to such restaurants in India from 1980s-1990s. However, Punjab is different - it is clean and service is top-notch. Food is also good - though not truly authentic. For... More

This restaurant has the most delicious Indian food for all palates. It easily provided space for the 6 of us to enjoy a feast, which was very tasty. the service was very prompt and there were extras for us to enjoy while we waited for the main dishes. Each of the dishes came with sides so we ended up with... More

Had a lovely meal here with three others. We decided to let the waiter choose dishes for us and he made great selections. We had the tandoori lamb, which was succulent, a duck curry, chicken korma and a vegetable dish I can't recall now. The lobster vindaloo was a highlight. Lovely. The naan bread melts in your mouth. Prices are... More

This is some of the best Indian food of ever had. Punjab located in Arlington Massachusetts has high quality food at moderate prices with exquisite taste. Lately there have been a few other Indian restaurants coming in as competition. I like Diva in Davis Square almost as much as Punjab.
