Beautiful food and environment

This is the best restaurant in Nuuk, because of the variety and quality of courses on the menu and the minimalistic and beautiful environment.

My brothers eat alot so the servings would not be enough for them, but the food is always very well made and consistent - Greenlandic with a Scandinavian twist. I have tried reindeer and catfish dishes, both lovely.

I visited in early August. You need to understand that this hotel is a Business Hotel. It's low season is June to late August when most Danish and other Europeans take their annual vacation. So the restaurant only opens for lunch during this period. And with an extremely limited menu. I chose the 275DKK mixed Greenlandic plate. The menu said... More

Go for the local dishes with fish. The chef knows how to prepare and present the meal. The staff have knowledge to recommend perfect wine.

chose for the tasting menue of 7 courses (there is another one with 9). The starters are tiny but not inappropriately for a 7-course menue. They give a good introduction to the local cuisine even though not all is local. I had expected more fish but maybe that is exactly what Greenlanders don't expect as fine dining. The only fish... I was there April 15, 2015, as a matter of fact by chance: We were booked at Nipisa, but when we got there the restaurant was closed! so, we needed an alternative and took to Sarfalik. 7 course menu, just under 600 DKK + wine. They had a wine menu for about the same price, but we opted for a... More

I was there for a late lunch, with a collegue who was sadly leaving of the US. The "shooting star" which consists of a fried filled of plaice and a cooked filet of the same fish, topped with shrimps, 1000 island dressing, asparagus, etc. The food was excellent, as was the view, bit expensive, but worht it if you want... My grandson and I enjoyed both lunch and dinner at the Sarfalik. We were very impressed with the menu's offerings. He being a more adventurous diner than myself - truly injoyed a wide variety of local dishes. I was more reserved trying the lamb which was delicious. I did have small tastes of his dinner and it was reallly good.... More

Having visited this restaurant before I had reasons to expect at least one great fish course on the menu. Instead they had one rather conventional course of salmon. To try somthing out of the ordinary I ordered whale meat but were served quail. Can you top that? The waiter said that it must have been some misunderstanding and inplied that... More
