Visited Palmers for the first time (wife has been there before). The menu was very creative, lots of different options. If you enjoy craft beer, this isn't the place for you at all. Everything poured is pretty much your bar normals. Ordered the Sam Adams mussel appetizer, flavor was good, mussels were sandy and it didn't really have any broth... More

Never been disappointed. Sit on deck on a nice day, or inside the screened in porch area. Bar area can get noisy so be prepared to talk loudly. Favorite app is the chips with dip.

I have had many a dinner here, for business and for personal. Never been disappointed, never had trouble finding something I would like. Service has always been excellent. The steaks are excellent and cooked to what you order (unlike many restaurants that always seem to under cook them). Seafood, consistently good to excellent. Good wine list, good coffee and good... Have been to Palmers tavern plenty of times. Its a good place to have a drink and also listen to live music. There really is no dance floor (for they move away a few tables) to speak of. Food is good. It is though a very loud place if you are looking to have conversation so be forewarned. It is... More

Finally after several years of struggling to find a good place to eat, we experienced this place. Good service and great food. Much much better than other places in Andover area. Slightly more pricey but not too much, very comparable prices but much better food. We found our food to be really good, service very efficient and a great place... More

We revisited Palmers in mid May 2014 after a year's hiatus. Happened to be in the area and since we've always enjoyed the atmosphere and food we decided to pop in for dinner. We tend to sit at the bar for dinner, on this particular Wednesday evening the place was busy as was the bartender. Too busy for one bartender... More

My family and I had a delicious dinner at Palmer's. Each of us was quite pleased with our meal choice. The service was very good; attentive and unobtrusive. The atmosphere was also quite pleasant. Smooth jazz played in the background; you were aware it was there but it subtly added to the experience rather than overwhelm it. It was quiet... More

It's hard to find non-chain restaurants where you'll be spared the same frozen entrees found at those chains. Palmers has great food and a lot of different rooms so the ambiance can change from one visit to the next. That said, it can get crowded depending on the size of your party.

Living nearby means a visit to Palmers every couple of months. Their Burger special (Monday night only) is a great bargain for a great burger. The downstairs is casual - that is where we eat. Have not really eaten in the other more formal sections of the restaurant. Like the salads, sliders, steak. Have not had a dish that we... More

For a local pub, the food is consistently really good. Lots of menu choices and it'll please everyone. Wines are a little more basic, good selection of beer. Can get loud in the bar at night, which is a plus or minus depending on your view.
