Where do you go for a delicious burger, or a cold microbrew beer, or a fantastic salad, or a nice piece of fish in a warm, relaxing and friendly space? Samuel's at the Andover Inn! This has become a regular for me and I suggest it to local friends as well as guests from out of town. The staff is... More

The Andover Inn was extremely accommodating and I was very pleased with all aspects of the planning and execution of my daughter's bridal shower. The sales coordinator was available, efficient and professional. They executed all the details perfectly and even stayed late on Saturday night to set up the room as I had requested. The Phillips room is beautifully appointed... More

My wife and I were driving from Kennebunkport, ME to Boston, MA and decided on the spur of the moment to take a stop and go for some light meal at the Andover Inn. We were not disappointed. The restaurant is nicely decorated and although there were people enjoying sports games at the bar, our table was nice and quiet... More

Elegant wood paneled colonial setting Food was classy. I had a lobster-mushroom crepe with a sherry cream sauce, Caesar salad, and clam chowder.

We usually sit at the bar for dinner, especially if Bob is working (great bartender -he makes a fabulous martini). The bar/restaurant is very nice with dark wood and good lighting. Busy, but not too noisy. The food is quite good. I love their Cobb salad and their BLT (best one I have had). Their homemade potato chips are excellent.... More

Almost missed it, but spotted big screen TV through window while standing in parking lot debating lunch choices. What a pleasant discovery! Casual enough to walk in, and with a perfect lunch menu. Ham salad sandwich, salad, and cheeseburgers cooked to order at our table. Washed down with regional microbrews on tap. Reasonable tab. And contrary to other reviews here,... More

Food is excellent. Martini's are amazing. Service is slightly slow so don't go if you are in a hurry.

I'm an alum of the school and live in the Andover and so want Samuel's to be successful. The atmosphere is nice and the food is generally good, but lately the management has been horrible. The hosts/hostesses and management are rude, and not at all welcoming. The servers are inexperienced, not well trained, and not given proper guidance. Food orders... More

Thank you for your recent review of Samuel's. We appreciate your positive comments regarding our food quality and atmosphere. I was particularly disappointed to read about the shortfalls with our hostess and associates. I'm used to receiving positive comments regarding the friendly demeanor of our greeters, so I will certainly increase our training in this area to avoid any further... More

Have been here often, and keep coming back. Nice, attentive staff. Good ambience, comfortable. Food is excellent, if basic. Can dine, if you're so inclined, as service is quiet and unobtrusive.

We had dinner one night and breakfast here one morning. The dinner was ok, unusual to get a fairly bland Caesar salad. Scallops served with a risotto was nice, but nothing special. The breakfast buffet didn't look that varied, but the pancakes and bacon were very good!
