Charming

Clubbish Place with a good menu and a pricey wine list. The beets are excellent, haddock undercooked, sword fish a winner. Good seafood stew, scallops. Service is below par but adequate. Prices are reasonable -- dinner for 3 with drinks and wine will run under $200.

Lovely location and should be better quality and service - has lots of potential. Have been multiple times for school pick up/drop offs, and always leave with same feelings. Could be so much better than it is, with very simple adjustments...

Have eaten here several times and found the food quite good...one of the better restaurants in the area which means reservations are advisable. The last time, the service was quite slow, but did not blame our server, because she was handling too many tables. An additional server was warranted.

Our table in the middle of the room was lit rather strangely. It was roughly noontime and there were bright overhead lights that produced a lot of uncomfortable glare. There was more than enough noise in the room to ensure that there was no possibility of overhearing any other table's conversation. And, when my wife wanted to order a salad... More

We had a business gathering/meeting here last week and the ambiance was very nice. The food was decent, but nothing impressive. The wine list was nice and the holiday decor very pleasant. Waitstaff all pleasant and attentive. It's a quite place where you can conduct business while having a decent meal and a glass a wine.

Today the six of us ventured out to a new territory for us. We decided that each month we would try a new destination for brunch or dinner. City name had to begin with the letter a and thus andover became our destination. Brunch was chosen for our meal at Samuels. WE ALL voted 5 stars for food and atmosphere... More

The food is decent, the wine list is nice and the decor is pleasant. The service is lacking. Every time I go there without a reservation, the hostess won't seat our party because all of the tables are booked. Yet in front of me I see an empty dining room. If I opt to eat in the bar, I can... More

A very upscale dining and lounge experience. My wife and I prefer the lounge for a more casual lunch. The food is superb and the service great. The dining room and lounge are elegant. In fact, the lounge is very similar to the lounge in the Saint James Club in Paris, France. The venue is suitable for all types of... More

Nice space and ambiance. Pleasant table service and decent food. Have visited many times for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Service, altho' friendly, not timely at any meal - on multiple occasions. Multiple times have arrived and waited patiently for a host, or waiter to recognize, and have had to seek them out ...

We had a business-pleasure dinner meeting here this week, and the ambiance was very nice. The meal, however, was disappointing. The grilled swordfish special was dry, unappealing and barely above room temperature. That was surprising for what seems an upscale, and not inexpensive venue on the Phillips Andover campus. In fairness, my guests were more pleased, which has saved this... More
