Delicious food tucked away in the Andover Inn

Didn't think that this Inn would have food that was anything but average. WRONG...wonderful experience start to finish. Jeff was a personable waiter. We had a nice drink and glass of wine. My husband asked how the short ribs were and Jeff said they were one of his favorites. They were delicious. I... read more

The quality of food and drink at the Inn is very good. Samuel's has a small menu, but there is something for everyone.

This restaurant, on the grounds of Phillips Academy, Andover, is a quiet, recently refurbished and pleasant respite from most bustling restaurants during lunch. Masculine but elegant decor with Mahagony throughout the dining area, split tastefully into small manageable dining areas allowing for good conversation or a business meeting. Waitstaff all pleasant and attentive, with greetings by all upon arrival. Menu... More

More often than not, I find hotel restaurants to be rather uninspiring. But Samuel's, at the Andover Inn, is a pleasant surprise. On the campus of Phillips Academy, this is a restaurant with a charming and historic atmosphere, as well as very good food. Some friends of mine and I had Sunday brunch at Samuel's, and the restaurant did a... More

The atmosphere is what you would expect for the Inn on the grounds of Andover... very traditional. Our lunches were excellent. We did not witness any of the service shortcomings noted by other reviewers. In fact, it seemed just the opposite. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit on the high side but in line with the... More

A friend recently had a 70th surprise birthday party in a private room at Samuels. The room was lovely and the brunch was great.

Met a friend at Samuel's for brunch. The room was very nice, albeit a little noisy. I never complain about slow or unfriendly service, but this time I will make an exception. We didn't meet our waiter for a full 10 minutes, although a young man poured water for us while we waited. Our waiter was not rude, but wasn't... More

On a recent visit to Andover, my wife and I wanted a little nicer evening than we were likely to find at our usual, quite good local favorites. She had been to Samuels before, but it was my first visit. It won't be my last! From the original call to make the reservation the staff were exceptionally pleasant. And our... More

Located at the Andover Inn. The restaurant gives you a colonial feel to go along with their great breakfast. The service was great and the breakfast was reasonably priced. Ab excellent way to start the day
