The atmosphere is what you would expect for the Inn on the grounds of Andover... very traditional. Our lunches were excellent. We did not witness any of the service shortcomings noted by other reviewers. In fact, it seemed just the opposite. Service was prompt, friendly and attentive. Prices are a bit on the high side but in line with the... More

A friend recently had a 70th surprise birthday party in a private room at Samuels. The room was lovely and the brunch was great.

Met a friend at Samuel's for brunch. The room was very nice, albeit a little noisy. I never complain about slow or unfriendly service, but this time I will make an exception. We didn't meet our waiter for a full 10 minutes, although a young man poured water for us while we waited. Our waiter was not rude, but wasn't... More

On a recent visit to Andover, my wife and I wanted a little nicer evening than we were likely to find at our usual, quite good local favorites. She had been to Samuels before, but it was my first visit. It won't be my last! From the original call to make the reservation the staff were exceptionally pleasant. And our... More

Located at the Andover Inn. The restaurant gives you a colonial feel to go along with their great breakfast. The service was great and the breakfast was reasonably priced. Ab excellent way to start the day

From the full bar to the excellent menu, this restaurant has it all. It has to be one of the best restaurants in the Andover area. We ate there three times during our brief stay. All were excellent.

The French Onion soup was a perfect starter on a rainy evening. Great service and good recommendations for wine and entree. The restaurant offered a quiet corner to discuss business, while not making me feel isolated.

Came here for breakfast this morning with my sister, mother and grandmother. Service was good and friendly, but the food was very disappointing. My sister and I got the buttermilk pancakes with fresh berry compote ($2 more than the pancakes without the compote). The "compote" was one sliced strawberry and two blackberries - that was it. Let alone the fact... More

Thank you for your feedback on TripAdvisor. We greatly appreciate your visit at the Andover Inn and Samuels Restaurant. I have shared your comments regarding the disappointing breakfast experience with our Chef and Restaurant Manager. Unfortunately we forgot to place the compote on your breakfast altogether; the berries were merely the garnish. We feel terrible about this and extending our... More
