First class Lebanese and Mediterranean dining

We love this tiny restaurant on a quiet side street in Andover. The food is always excellent, starting with the gratis dish of their lemony humus. My husband particularly loves the lamb shank, which falls off the bone. I go for their fish and vegetables, also delicious. The wine selection is quite... read more

I wanted to like this place. I really did. But I was disappointed with the meal. Service was impeccable, the atmosphere was "cute" ...nicely decorated with scenes of Lebanon. The place itself is very small...seating perhaps 20, with additional seating in front on the sidewalk. We ordered the Lebanese mezza. The sambouzek and spinach pies were deep fried and over-cooked... Wonderful intimate restaurant. Friendly service. Really good food. Great chicken pesto flatbread - thinnest crispiest crust ever and fresh arugula on top. Shared an awesome entrée with three tastings - lamb chop over unique chopped mashed potatoes, pork over spicy polenta and short ribs over some wacky whipped eggplant. wow! only disappointment was the crab cake - not terrible but... The food is great and not too expensive. The only issue is that its dining room is quite small. Service is pleasant.

We were visiting Yella to celebrate a birthday and the staff went out of their way to make this a special occasion. The tables are quite close together and one large party dominated the restaurant in terms of noise. To have a conversation required almost shouting across the table. On a better note all of the food that we had... More

High expectations of Yella Grille based on reviews. Experience only so-so. Smelly outside (could be temporary, thus had dinner inside). Food looked good, but was too salt, and some of it was undercooked (i.e. Risotto), some overcooked. Baklava didn't have the right structure. Plating not very comfortable (i.e. appetizer : 2 pieces of bread, JOINED by leaves of salad so... More

Usually, the lines/wait at Yella don't work for us because our schedules are unpredictable and we don't like showing up late for a reservation. Tonight, we just parked in downtown Andover and they had room for us. Service, decor and food - all delicious. Amanda was our server and she was everything a server should be - pleasant, available and... More

To me, this is far and away the best restaurant in Andover. I have had several items from the menu and have never been disappointed. It's not inexpensive but well worth it for a date night!

We went here for a business dinner on a Wednesday evening. Reservations are definitely needed due to the small size of the restaurant. We were a party of eight, so they had set a special table for us. When we arrived it was pretty quiet, but in very little time the whole place was bustling and filled. The food was... More

I finally had a chance to go to Yella for my birthday and it was delicious - as good as I had hoped it would be. The service was great - the restaurant is small and it fills so it can feel a bit tight but it didn't bother us. We had the crispy melanzane and grilled octopus to start,... More
