Disappointing

I finally went to Yella and was looking forward to really good food but was disappointed in the favors of the food. It looks nice inside, is small and therefore noisy and the food was OK but not good enough for me to want to go back sadly.

Great food. Nice service. Everything was fresh and original. I highly recommend this place. They have well thought out combos blending European and Lebanese food styles. Very very tasty!

This is a tiny place (c.10 tables) on a tiny side street in Andover. But the good is great middle eastern. I love their kibbi! I recommend reservations to be sure you get seated.

The food at Yella was very well prepared when I visited about a month back but I just recently went back and found the food was very different. This time the chicken was overcooked and very salty, I almost asked if there was a new chef because the food seemed to be very different to me and was not what... More

Four of us enjoyed dinner at Yella as an early New Year treat- two first timers and my wife and I who enjoyed it once before. We each ordered very different things and were Exceptionally happy. The chef owner is Lebanese, and be prepared to enjoy quite different spices and wonderfully subtle favors. For a special night of Mediteranian food,... More

My husband and I decided to branch out last night and try Yella, a new-ish place that opened at the site of the late, great, and lamented Cassis. I had to laugh out loud to see that it is ranked #2 in Andover. I guess that is what happens when there are no places to eat in the northern burbs... More

My wife and I went for dinner. The service and food were excellent. A little pricey and portions weren't too large. . Small restaurant. Call for reservations.

I don't think it is hard to make or find high quality med food. This place has good food no doubt. Atmosphere is stale. Bathrooms need renovation. Staff is competent, but boring. I would not go back here on my own, but wouldn't turn away if someone else wanted to go.

The falafel was to die for, the best I've ever had. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because my husband's meal was a little bland and too rich. That said, he tried a new dish (kibbeh) and didn't know what it is supposed to taste like, so maybe it's just a bland dish in general. But judging... More

Dear BethVF13, Thank you for sharing your experience with us at Yella. We're thrilled to hear that our falafel is the best you've had! It is especially unique as we get our spices straight from Lebanon which lend an earthy, aromatic flavor that is truly authentic to the middle east. This is the same recipe that Chef Carlo's family has... More

We've eaten at Yella several times and it's never failed. Starting with a choice of indoor or outdoor seating (nicely appointed spots in both cases) and superior waitstaff (Jay was our waiter tonight: he was attentive, knowledgeable about wine and very pleasant), our visit this evening began in a positive way. The complimentary hummus/toasted pita was delicious and the falafel... More

Dear Carol, Thank you for crafting such a thoughtful and expressive review. Incorporating farm fresh produce and supporting other local businesses is of the utmost importance to us. We're so happy to have a local partnership with Boston Hill Farm in North Andover, as they offer us the opportunity to serve delectable farm to table cuisine. The cod is one... More
