Went for brunch with three others. Finding a table for four people was a challenge. I stood next to a table while the three others ordered the food. You wait in line, order food, and then wait for them to call your order. Some people take their food out and others eat in. On a Sunday morning, it is really... More

Great little cafe with a long Amherst history. Good sandwiches, excellent desserts. Nice place to hang out.

We had dessert here and came back the next evening for more - super tasty pies! My husband was very happy with the blueberry & their cookies were fantastic! I made sure I bought some for the flight home. Went there in the am for coffee and unfortunately not the best cup of joe I have ever had - Dunkin'... More

Went in with my family to get some pastries for the ride home. The pastries looked wonderful and were pretty good but nothing super special. They were VERY expensive. The atmosphere of the place is nice on the inside. It was very busy when we went and it was quite a long wait. I will go back but for more... More

This place was very friendly, but also very plain. Food was okay. Nothing special. I ordered a club sandwich, bread was tough but not hard. Turkey was dry, and lettuce and tomato were limited. The sandwich needed more dressing or mayonnaise to make it tasty. My son ordered 1/2 a buffalo chicken sandwich. Which I thought would be plenty even... More

Popped in here for some iced tea and cookies after visiting the Emily Dickinson Museum just down the street. Cookies were totally yum. FYI: They have some vegan and gluten free options. The atmosphere was great - easy going, granola-head. No A/C though it was a hot day. I didn't mind, but it was unexpected. The sandwich menu looks fantastic.... More

This is the quintessential coffeeshop in a college town--funky yet terrific food and coffee, with a hippy flair. Live blues music every Wednesday evening and Country and Blues every Sunday morning. Terrific sandwiches (if you are poor or a saver, the half sandwiches are half price and almost as large as a whole), but all prices are reasonable. Day-old baked... More

Had a Smokin' Joe sandwich and added turkey. Very fresh and very delicious. Gorgeous day so sat outside and listened to the music on the commons for the town festival. Great place to stop for a bite.

Sitting in, it is noisy and crowded -- not many seats available during its busier hours. To go, it is great, the choices and ingredients are excellent. I recommend this over many if not all others in Amherst.
