had amazing time having breakfast there

they have lots of options for the meals, and you can get a great traditional bagel breakfast. if you are lucky you might find a nice jazz band playing there.

Stopped here twice for pastry deserts several months apart. Nice spot, good and unique variety, but still lacking on a few important details for us. So lets talk about the Cream Puffs and Éclairs. The pastry itself is lacking in flavor and texture. I have eaten elsewhere and made at home, popovers that are much better. The filling in the... More

This is, less face it, a popular place. One might ask: but why? Fairly long waits are the norm. Cleanliness one might justifiably question. And the system for paying one's bill, the height of inefficiency. That said, my sandwich always tastes good. And it does beat Subway on that score. But I've never understood why this place has a cult-like... More

Nick runs one of the most fun and entertaining venues in Amherst. The food is great, and each sandwich is handmade. They bake their own goods here. You can get half price baked goods a day old (only working people buy those, the students all pay full price for fresh and get fancy coffee (thank you parents and taxpayers)). The... More

The Black Sheep is a very family friendly restaurant, and the food is amazing for all ages. The type of food is sandwiches and pastries. Amazing service and very nice people!

This house was conveniently located up the street from the Emily Dickinson Museum. It offered a great selection of unusual sandwiches, and it was nice to be able to order just a half a sandwich, many of which are pretty substantial, instead of a whole one. They also have a nice bar offering specialty coffees, as well as many highly... More

My friend and I chose Black Sheep because we wished to grab a quick bite to eat before we visited the Emily Dickinson Museum. There was a huge selection of specialty sandwiches, but you were also encouraged to order any combination of fillings that you would like to receive a sandwich perfect for you. Many desserts were also available to... More

They have a vast variety of fixings -- breads, meats, veggies, and salads - which they mix and match to order. Good drink and dessert choices too.

Loved this place so much we went back twice. Teenager bought the LGBQ (haha) sandwich (Lettuce Guacamole Bacon Qucumber) and I had the Nick's #1 (like a Reuben). Chalked menu had a lot to choose from, either breakfast or dinner. Also enjoyed the Republican cookie (a lot of nuts and fruit) (haha) everything thought out and delicious.
