I've been eating at the Monkey Bar for many years. Food is very consistent, high-quality, and delicious. The front room has two window areas that are fun if you can get them. (Make a reservation.) The large back room is beautiful dining and there is a very pleasant for dining. The entire staff is professional and very pleasant. You can't... More

Fine dining, excellent service and a surprise dessert to celebrate our anniversary. Absolutely the best dining experience we've had in all our long years in Amherst, MA.

We went to eat here the other night and everything was excellent. The new owner stopped by our table and introduced himself. The server was quick and friendly. I ordered the sashimi sesame tuna and it was amazing, but even more amazing was the wasabi mashed potatoes. They were amazing, I could have eaten a whole bowl of them. My... More

Went here on an extremely busy Friday. Was sat at the bar. Very knowledgeable bartender. Very well executed cocktail! Amazing selection of spirits. The calamari was good but the sauce it came with made it excellent! My short rib was falling off the fork. Skipped on dessert, but will be going back for it and more cocktails!

We didn't have a reservation so we were seated at the bar. My underage teenagers were thrilled! Our bartender was a kid between college and grad school and couldn't have been better. Very attentive and very bright. He had a nice chat with my son (the physics major) about engineering and certain professors. My daughter had the beet salad with... More

My college age daughter and I had lunch there on 10/23. We ordered the lunch specials, perhaps the first mistake of the meal. The pulled pork sandwich was mainly roasted vegetables and very little meat. It had an odd Asian flavor to it. As my daughter said, probably the strangest take on pulled pork she ever had. I ordered the... More

I went to Bistro 63 for the first time with my mother when she was in Amherst visiting. The two of us were seated in a lovely booth by the window. The servers were quick, attentive, and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. I could tell that everything was made using high quality ingredients. My mother, who prefers to eat... More

My husband and I decided to go to this place for our Rehearsal Dinner. Everything was perfect. The room was set up just as we wanted, the food was great, and the music was quiet and relaxed. It was a great place to bring our family and friends for a relaxed dinner before the big day. We did have one... More

Dropped into this bistro solely because of the excellent ratings on Trip Advisor. Very disappointed. I don't know how they earned such excellent reviews...but they won't be getting one from us. Immediately upon sitting down our waitress Alison (who was sweet) handed us our menus. Sandwiched between the plastic and the paper on the menu was a live wriggling large... More

We stopped in Amherst on our way home from Vermont. Let me start out by saying our waitress, Emily, was outstanding. She was personable and attentive and definitely knew the menu and wine list. I had the tuna (rare) and looked to her for confirmation. My wife couldn't decide and took her recommendation for the salmon. Both were excellent choices... More
