My college age daughter and I had lunch there on 10/23. We ordered the lunch specials, perhaps the first mistake of the meal. The pulled pork sandwich was mainly roasted vegetables and very little meat. It had an odd Asian flavor to it. As my daughter said, probably the strangest take on pulled pork she ever had. I ordered the... More

I went to Bistro 63 for the first time with my mother when she was in Amherst visiting. The two of us were seated in a lovely booth by the window. The servers were quick, attentive, and friendly. The food was absolutely amazing. I could tell that everything was made using high quality ingredients. My mother, who prefers to eat... More

My husband and I decided to go to this place for our Rehearsal Dinner. Everything was perfect. The room was set up just as we wanted, the food was great, and the music was quiet and relaxed. It was a great place to bring our family and friends for a relaxed dinner before the big day. We did have one... More

Dropped into this bistro solely because of the excellent ratings on Trip Advisor. Very disappointed. I don't know how they earned such excellent reviews...but they won't be getting one from us. Immediately upon sitting down our waitress Alison (who was sweet) handed us our menus. Sandwiched between the plastic and the paper on the menu was a live wriggling large... More

We stopped in Amherst on our way home from Vermont. Let me start out by saying our waitress, Emily, was outstanding. She was personable and attentive and definitely knew the menu and wine list. I had the tuna (rare) and looked to her for confirmation. My wife couldn't decide and took her recommendation for the salmon. Both were excellent choices... More

went here because of past reviews. the room smelled funny and wasn't all that clean around the table. the food was just average. nothing special. service was friendly and prompt. would probably eat elsewhere in the town in the future, as other places we have tried have been much better.

Our bartender was a magician. When we asked him for his specialty, he said it was the Pontius Pilate because The Master and Margarita is one of his favorite novels. Only in a college town! The drink was superb, too.

Celebrated our son's 21st birthday party at Bistro 63 this fall; the food was outstanding, and the adult beverages and the service were fabulous. Our server was very good too; she knew the menu, and took care of our son as if he were the most important customer that night. We will return again!

The folks at UMass took my wife, sister and I to dinner at the Monkey Bar. Enzo, the maitre d', was a charmer. His description of their scallops special with candied walnuts was convincing. The dish was very good but a little bit bland. This small restaurant makes conversation easy. We will certaily go back on our next trip.

Bistro63 is a handsome but small space done in art-deco-ish style with blonde wood, interesting lighting, and dark leather. Service during our dinner there was impeccable. We started with some excellent drinks, the house special Manhattan and a violet liqueur-based drink called a Viola. Both were very good, but the latter was sublime. The bread basket and tapenade served with... More
