Very nice atmosphere and although is more of a college students cafe is very family friendly. We went following the suggestions of the best thing that I've ever eat and the "El Salvadoreño", I'f I remember correctly. It is not the best burrito that I've ever eat but is on the top 5; the freshness of the ingredients are priceless.... More

The burritos are giant, but reasonably priced. Ingredients taste fresh, and the ambiance is friendly. The quesadillas are delicious too! Try the BBQ chicken.

If you like black bean burritos that are bursting with flavor--this place is for you. Add some sirloin tips and guacamole and you'll think you've died and gone to heaven. The fish tacos are a Latino spin on fish sticks, breaded and fried strips of fish in a soft corn tortilla with lettuce, tomato and spicy salsa--yum! VERY reasonably priced... More

I would rename the restaurant to Bueno y Bueno. Great fresh ingredients... large enough portions at good prices. As a student at UMass I was introduced to what a "real" burrito tasted like by Bueno y Sano and I have never looked at tacos and burritos the same again. Their Springfield location is great too. Forget Chipotle! Bueno y Sano... More

Burritos are FANTASTIC, the vibe is very laid back and it's definitely a "local" spot meaning you have to know about it to find it. I have been eating here for over 10 years and still come back when I am in the area. Highly recommend to anyone!

as always bueno is bueno. I've never had a bad meal here and the location is perfect. sort of like a speakeasy you have to know where to find it and I love that about this place. Its a landmark in Amherst and a must visit for authentic and delicious mexican food for reasonable prices.

Bueno y sano is some of the best burritos around! They are huge and filling and cheap! We ate here all the time while in college. It was even on the food channel "Best Thing I Ever Ate!" Definitely go here!

Tried this after reading reviews here and liked it a lot. The burritos were huge and you can customize to suit your taste. Will return!

I went to UMass over a decade ago and loved this place. Over Labor Day weekend 2012 I brought my boyfriend by and it was just as good as I remember - maybe better! A tip for vegetarian/vegan diners - seitan burrito with guacamole. It is to die for!

Fantastic burritos and tacos. Super reasonable, no frills, and delicious. Never had a burrito this good anywhere in America. Black beans are amazingly consistent in quality. An institution in Amherst. Highly recommended, but don't expect to get a seat-mainly take out is their breas and butter.
