For Beer Lovers, this is a Must.

This is a great casual, local beer bar. If you don't find a beer here that you like, you don't like beer. Great service, samples if you can't decide and all the peanuts you can eat. They don't serve food but you are welcome to bring in your take-out. Several good choices right near by. Mayber... read more

We went here a few times while in Amherst. It's a nice mellow tavern where you can actually have a conversation. Even though there were lots of college students, they didn't seem to mind that we were at their place. They have an awesome selection of boutique beers.

It was a little off the beaten path but after we called, we found it fine. It is next to a gas station. The place is not fancy, but there were people of all ages, and a few dogs enjoying the place. It is very low key, you decide what you want and go to the bar and order. We... More

There’s really not much to say about this place that hasn’t already been said. I’ll keep it simple – if you love beer, go to the Moan and Dove. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, fun to talk to, and they have a selection of beers that they can talk to you about for hours. The only unfortunate thing about going... More

This is a beer drinkers bar. Food is limited to a help-yourself barrel of peanuts, tho' they're relaxed about your ordering in delivery food. Decor is, umm, minimal. Mostly black. There's a huge range of craft beers on tap, and even more by the bottle. The bar staff are knowledgeable and will talk you through what's there, and offer you... More

Five stars is for beer that beats any brewpub. How does a bar that serves no food stay packed most nights? It’s the beer. This is a bar for true beer aficionados. Bartenders are extraordinarily knowledgeable about their extensive selection from around the world. From Belgian farmhouse ales to chocolate stouts and everything in between, they’ve got it all. Large... More

This bar gets high marks for having a truly impressive, interesting beer selection. The bartenders have been very knowledgeable and a good source for suggestions. Even the background music is of a higher caliber. They can't get an 'excellent' rating, though, until they keep more of those interesting beers in stock. Which might be asking alot of such a small...
