The food is terrific here as is the service. Care and attention are given to each meal and the servers are well trained and attentive. Cocktails are delicious and wine menu should satisfy even the more discerning of tastes. The steaks are particularly good but there is something for everyone. (Breakfast is great!)

We had a lovely dinner at 30Boltwood--a restaurant attachment to the Jeffery Inn in the heart of downtown Amherst. The drinks menu was extensive and well-crafted. The meal courses feature produce from local farms (an ever-growing movement in the state of MA) and the quality and taste was superb. The only downside to an otherwise delicious dinner was a rambunctious... More

Thank you for joining us at 30Boltwood. We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your dining experience with us. Victoria puts so much energy in to creating an interesting, exciting beverage menu, while Chef and his culinary team are very lucky to have a number of local farms and purveyors to source the best ingredients from. Pleased to hear that... More

Here I am on my own on yet another Friday night. The bar at 30Boltwood is inviting and quiet. I ordered a drink and selected two appetizers for my meal. Dos Tacos was quite nice: a petite soft corn tortilla with crispy edges filled with pulled pork, cabbage and carrot slaw, sweet pickled jalapeños slices topped with avocado wedges. The... More

We stayed at the Lord Jeffrey Inn and got to breakfast 3 times, dinner 1 time. Breakfast was as good as it gets, hot coffee, fresh juice, perfectly cooked eggs and accoutrements and, the best french toast around. Dinner -- not so much. The menu was complicated with each dish having ingredients that were unapproachable and not known. It made... More

First I have to say that Vickie (Victoria) is a truly a great associate and ambassador for your establishment her passion for mixology unbelievable!. We started the night on the beautiful (Tulips and all) patio with drinks and they had such a great selection even had the barrel aged Manhattan! We went inside for dinner and had a wonderful meal.... We were here to celebrate the graduation of our son from college. Our party enjoyed cocktails on the patio (fantastic) then were seated at our table for dinner. We ordered a couple of appetizers including the mussels and the quail. Both were very good. That is where the evening turned disappointing. There were seven diners in our party. Two of... More

Finally a nice evening for strolling Amherst (from "across the river" in Northampton!) we popped in about 7:30 on a weekend night & were pleased that there was room for 2 without a reservation. Have been several times (drinks/lunches/dinners) we've usually liked the creative menu and very pleased with recent, extensive renovation .The décor is lovely/cozy/upscale with dining options ranging... My friends and I wanted to try someplace different for lunch. The atmosphere of the inn beckoned. We should have looked around and left. The food isn't quite mediocre. The chef's salads were small and totally underwhelming. The vegetarian patty (chick peas and sweet potatoes) served dry with no dressing or condiment. We will not return. Try Johnny's Tavern or...
