We had a nice time at this wonderful little restaurant. Two of us had caesar salads which were delicious. I had the chicken in parmesan polenta which was tasty with a wilted spinach side. My son has a burger and my husband had the haddock sandwich. All were good. The space was cozy and quiet with plenty of parking outside... More

Loved the local foods and twists on standard fare -- whoever thought of lightly frying the tomatoes for the Caprese is brilliant, and all the main dishes were flavorful and luscious (lobster and scallop fettuccine with plenty of lobster broth to lighten the sauce; fantastically smooth and fresh spinach-stuffed cod; a whole line of plump scallops of butter consistency wrapped... Our first experience at Crave was outstanding. We were seated right away and the owner came over to talk to us. The seafood pasta was outstanding as was the mussels. Service was friendly and the portions were just right. Crave is a great addition to downtown Amesbury.

We started with the goat cheese flatbread and the beef tartar. The former was nice, but the goat cheese was on the mild side [I like goat cheese.] The tartar was recommended by our server. We found it tasteless – and politely told him so. Although certainly not required, he deducted from bill. A sure sign that they care about... More

We tried this place out for the first time for a special occasiona meal. for a Friday night it was not crowded, which normally would be a red flag for us, but we stayed and were glad we did. The wait staff was excellent and very knowledgable. She helped us pick from their interesting menu pointing out that some of... More

The food is delicious at "The Crave". Tuesday nights offer a great culinary deal...Two persons can order off a special menu and, for a total of $60, you can share a bottle of wine, each orders either a garden salad or a Caesar salad, each orders a delicious entree, and you share a dessert. By the way, our table of... More

Come early or call ahead. Last time I dined here we were the only guests. The two dinners with app , dessert and bottle of wine for $60 was a great deal. But we live an hour away. More than a year later and back in the area , I thought we should use our gift certificate before they close.... More

We had just finished tasting wines at Jewel Town Winery and turned onto High Street to see the sign for Wolf Meadow Farm when I suggested to my wife that we should stop into a cute bistro I had noticed when I last visited Amesbury for a cocktail and an appetizer. Walking into the bar area through the back door,... More

Was up in the Salisbury Beach, Ma. area for the weekend, photographing the Snowy Owl. Boked a room in Amesbury and came over here from Newburyport, Ma. at the end of a very long day, tired and hungry. Having never been to the area, had to rely on the internet reviews and Trip Advisor top reviews. Went the #1 restaurant... More

I don't usually order haddock when I'm at a restaurant. I'm very fussy when it comes to seafood, especially haddock. I'd rather buy it at the fish market and cook it at home. The haddock sandwich at Crave, is without a doubt, one of the best -if not the best- fried haddock I've had on a long, long time. The... More
