Great tavern and restaurant below an inn, with music, excellent bartender and drinks, and goulash. An old Austrian family recipe, I've never had anything like it. They could sell it mail order, it's so good.

While visiting Adams we chose to dine at the Haflinger Haus. We want to add our voice to all the positive reviews. The food and service are great, the bar well stocked and the atmosphere is inviting. The menu is varied and the meals we ordered were delicious. The goulash is not to be missed. The restaurant is complete with... More

We spent a week in the Berkshires during the peak fall foliage season. The concierge at our timeshare recommended this charming Austrian restaurant. Its ambience was perfect, an old stately home with high ceilings, marble fireplaces, wood floors, etc.. The owner was very cordial and both he and the wait staff were in alpine costume. Now the food, I had... More

We ordered Wiener schnitzel and beef burgundy along with an appetizer. Food was awesome service very friendly. The cheesecake is not New York style but it was the way my mom made it. Never had it served in a restaurant that way it's very creamy and soft with Carmel topping yummy. The building is historic and beautiful inside. Can go... More

We have eaten at many fine European restaurants and this gem rivals them all. Following other recommendations, we ate the Wiener Schnitzel and Goulash and it was excellent. Dunkel beer can be bitter, but the tap at Halflinger was loaded with smooth and tasty Dunkel from Europe. A fine pairing for the great food. The decor is very Austrian and... More

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here a couple weeks ago, we were given a gift certificate for our anniversary and finally found time to go. We started with a couple of beers(sputnik brewery),I had the harvest and he had the porter, both very good, and reasonably priced. We split an appetizer of the goulash crepe, which was excellent, I... More

Decided to finally try this restaurant. Just never thought of going there before. The Chicken Almondine was excellent, service great and very nice atmosphere. There was a duo performing that were very good. Not too loud. The only off point , the drinks are a little pricey for the area. Only gave it 4 rating as am waiting to try... More

My husband and I and another couple ate here last week. We had reservations, were seated promptly and our server was very nice. We split a couple of appetizers, the goulash crepe and the Haus made crepe, they were delish. For dinner, I ordered the Haehnchen Jaeger Schnitzel, a chicken dish that was very good, our friends got the Weiner... More

All four of us ordered the veal schnitzel which came with a good small salad vegetables and spatzel . The four of us agreed this was as good as the best Austrian schnitzel .We liked the old house atmosphere and the service was good . Wine prices were reasonable but I felt that some better quality Austrian wines should be... More

On a whim, we decided last night to go to Haflinger Haus. Having driven past it many times, it was one of those "Some time we should try that place..." locations until now. In all, the meal was a good one. I started with a cucumber martini that was tasty. They have an extensive drink menu and a better-than-typial selection... More
