This is an old school Italian restaurant. If you want the lighter, new wave style of cooking you won't find it here. But excellent garlic bread and salad come with the meal and the food is really, really good. High on the list of items to order are the chicken picatta and the seafood Il Forno. And the calamari appetizer... More

I've never had a bad meal here. The service is friendly and very responsive. Prices are attractive. The full bar is everything you would want. They have two small private rooms that accommodate about 12 or less. It's not a destination restaurant, but, a very good local eatery.

The website indicated that it was reopening following renovations at the end of March but I drove by today and it is still closed. Definitely a favorite - we live in Boxborough so we hope it reopens soon!

Last year, I hosted my daughter's graduation from Med School at this restaurant. They couldn't do enough to support me (and my daughter). They opened up early as we wanted to dine at 3PM on a Sunday and they worked with me on a menu that would satisfy toddlers and adults alike. They served the toddlers food first so we... More

This is a small BYOB Italian restaurant serving pizza, pasta, sandwiches, wraps, Calzones, soups and salads for lunch and an extensive selection of veal, chicken, seafood, beef and pasta entrees for dinner. There are always several specials to choose from, too. All the food is very good and the portions are quite large. The service is always friendly and accommodating... More

We have dined at Il Forno in Acton, MA many times over several years. Each experience has been pleasant with fair size servings of very good dishes along with efficient and friendly service. This is a BYOB restaurant and the servers are always helpful with opening wines and providing glasses. A dinner here will warm your heart and not empty... More

We enjoyed a bountiful meal and brought a large portion home. Salad and garlic bread were included with our dinner. Wonderful service too!

Tried this place when Crossroads next door had a 30 minute wait. The food is quite good, but pretty standard fare. One at our table ordered pizza, couldn't be brick oven like advertised, pretty ordinary. As for our entrees, disgustingly oversized portions! Really, three people could've shared one and been full. We're big eaters but seriously? It was unappetizing to... More

My wife and I have been there number of times. It is low key local Italian place. The best things about it: you could bring your own wine or beer with you, which is great as it cuts the bill and still have your favorite drink; they only use really fresh local veggies and seafood. Two drawbacks: they don't take... More

This place has some of the best italian food around. Bring your own beer or wine, relax, and enjoy. I would recommend this place wholeheartedly.
