Description: The Local Table is a West Acton destination for weekday lunch, weekend...
The Local Table is a West Acton destination for weekday lunch, weekend brunch, drinks, and dinner. Our food is extraordinarily honest: every dish is crafted to order; we use fresh, high-quality ingredients; and nearly everything, but for a few condiments, is house-made. We source our fresh produce locally whenever possible, and do business primarily with local suppliers. We strive to create gratifying food and drink. There is a variety of small plates for omnivores and vegetarians; comfort foods with an upscale twist (Brioche French Toast for brunch, Lobster Mac & Cheese or Shepherd’s Pie Carbonnade for dinner); and distinctive takes on classics (Ipswich Crab Cakes, Veal Francese). Or you can relax with a locally made brew and a delicious, juicy burger — voted “Best in Acton.” Lunchtime features hearty sandwiches, soups, quiches, and salads. Our bar offers regional beers; wines from small growers and sustainably managed vineyards; and and specialty cordial drinks, many using liqueurs from New England. Our burgers are from Midwest beef raised on a vegetarian diet, are hormone and antibiotic free, and have a DNA trace-back (meaning a burger comes from only one cow). Our chicken and turkey are antibiotic-free, humanely raised, and processed in state-of-the-art facilities. Our chicken supplier conducts a sustainability program to reduce power, water, and materials use, and our turkey is from a cooperative of family farms whose processing plant has reduced its power and water consumption. We work to use suppliers whose values align with ours. The Local Table supports local people advancing local causes, and is committed to enriching community by being a resource and destination for groups and organizations — whether for networking, meetings, and/or fundraising events. The owner is a member of coalitions that support legislation to improve working conditions and wages for restaurant workers; all workers at The Local Table are paid a living wage.

I recently attended a private event at this restaurant which is tucked out the way behind the tiny business district in West Acton. If the fare at this private affair is any indication of usual offerings, this restaurant is certainly a real contender for our "out to dinner" night. The new... read more

My dining partner and I came in for lunch. Is a large space with relatively few tables. So feels empty although most of the tables were full. I had the quiche and salad greens. The greens were fresh with a mild dressing just somewhat boring by themselves. The quiche of the day; the pastry was ok. The filling was undercooked... More

Finally got to eat here, after they replaced the restaurant (Savoury Lane) that had been here (3 years ago, duh!). Had a wonderful meal, nice beer choice, and really friendly and efficient service. Can't believe I thought it was just a management change, and will be going back!

We arrived around 6:30 on a Thursday evening. We had heard of this place and wanted to give it a try. The restaurant was almost empty - maybe only 8 other folks in the place, which was of some concern. The bartender/waitress seated us in the far corner right next to where the band would be playing later. This was... More

overpriced...we payed almost $60 for a meal for two that was not worthy of the price. The chicken marengo and pesto pasta with chicken is not that good for the price. The water was not that good and the salad was small. The staff was nice but we will not be going back!!!! To top it off they screwed up... More

I am sorry you were disappointed with your meals and our pricing. The entrees you selected were $15-$18, which is comparable, if not lower in price, than similar restaurants in the area. If you had made your concerns known that evening it would have given the staff an opportunity to better understand how we might improve. For example, we make... More

We went strictly based upon trip advisors reviews and were not disappointed. First, if you go on the weekends, please make a reservation as the entertainment starts at 8pm. We walked in and were seated anyway. The place is kind of small and they did not have enough chairs for all places at the tables, so I was given a... More

The last time that I had the pleasure of enjoying a sandwich from this place was when it went by the name of Savory Lane and was located on the other side of town. I won't tell you how many years ago that was! Anyway, I thought they had gone out of business but, after deciding to research it, I... More

I love this restaurant. It is a great place to meet a friend for lunch, have a family brunch, or enjoy a quiet dinner. I find the ingredients of the highest quality and the food thoughtful and interesting without being fussy.
