We came early and as we waited for the rest of our group we had the opportunity to experience a real barman - his Old Fashioned is a work of art and his Negronis are nicely balanced. All five of us really liked our food, which ranged from a comfort food veal parmigiana (crisp outside tender inside) to a whole... More

Had 3 courses which were all excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. I didn't find over the top at all and for a Brit in the US. That's a statement! Ambience was good. I'd return.

Food and menu are fine but the service was so over the top. The waiter would not leave us alone and ruined what should have been a nice evening. Quotes like the mozzarella is made in the restaurant. When questioned about this he came back and said the milk was imported from italy????? peach syrup was prepared by two of... More

Went to dinner to celebrate a birthday. Service was excellent. Food was good. Appetizer was for the group, and it was skimpy and not inexpensive. Everyone at the table was happy with their main courses. It is good Italian food - or just good food!

On a Sunday night the dining room was half full, but the distances between tables suggested that it would have been quiet and relaxed even if crowded. Our Russian waiter, who had acquired some Italian mannerisms, watched over us with fastidious professionalism after advising us that the Sunday special was 1/2 price on any wine under $100 and offering to... I am giving Osteria 177 the benefit of the doubt that because we had dinner on a Monday evening that is why the place was empty and for no other reason. The waitstaff could not have been nicer and our waiter was from Italy--a plus for authenticity. Food was pretty good. Especially a salmon pastrami starter. Sounds odd but was... More

Although this was my first visit, the other couple were regulars. A lot depends on the server at every restaurant and we had a great server. One of our guests wanted a stuffed veal chop, not on the menue. They accomodated the request . My main dish was fabulous, and I rarely use the word.My wofe also had a great... More

Great Italian food. The service is excellent and I love the fact that the majority of the servers are Italian. It's the best restaurant in Annapolis and frequented by the "who's who" of Maryland, especially government figures. We met Senator John Astle there. He gave us his stamp of approval of the restaurant. He was quite friendly, charming and distinguished.... More
