This is a very good local Annapolis spot. In a small shopping strip and often crowded for breakfast, but usually easy to find a table at dinner. Food is very good, well prepared, but rich, more calories than you might expect. Fish and scallop entrees consistently good. Specials are worth checking, some weeknights dinner for two is less than $30,... More

Looks like you could find something anytime of day at this cafe style restaurant. You know the food will be good when their catering department is reight next door. We both had salads with assorted seafodo fro lunch. Good quality seafood and very fresh ingredients. Watch out for all the pastires in the case - very tempting. Can't wait to... More

If you travel to a select place you expect more and maybe this is a problem. The Main Ingredient does not live up to a very high rating in Annapolis restaurants especially because it was not located in the tourist area and thus should be a good deal better than what one can find with only a short walk. True... More

I feel confident that The Main Ingredient would be the #1 recommended Annapolis restaurant on TripAdvisor if it was located in the tourist district. But the fact that it requires a drive from the historic district makes it even better, in my opinion. It's great to eat at a truly neighborhood restaurant, where locals fill all the tables. My husband... More

Catering: We had the Main Ingredient cater my wedding rehersal dinner. The food and service were both wonderful. Highly reccomend the crab balls! Bakery: I ordered 10 fresh fruit pies for my wedding and they were delicious! Make sure to order FRESH fruit pies (default is the 'canned' fruit) and if you want to save a few dollars, ask to... Catering: Huge portions. Fabulous cakes, we had lemon with lemon curd filling, red velvet and chocolate rum. Guests preferred the flavors in order listed.

Thank you to the catering team who produced a beautiful cake for our special day. Even more exceptional given we live in England and all the arrangements were handled via phone and email. Great work and will be recommending you to all

I was having a Comcast influenced rough day but it turned around with my walk downstairs discovering a new place for lunch. Erin's recommendation on the Mexi Wrap was a good choice with an excellent cilantro sauce that set it off. Even the hostess was great dealing with all the picky hard to please customers that refused to have their... More

We've had the pleasure of dining at Main Ingredient (MI) in Annapolis at least 10 times in the last 10 years. We were in the area for a talk on cross atlantic sailing and decided to stop for dinner before the event. Our meals were up to the MI's normal high standards. Both fish and beef dishes were superb. We... More

Our daughter and her husband took us here for brunch, and we were charmed and impressed. Not much to look at from the outside, located in a small strip mall, but charming décor inside. The food was excellent, as was the service. The mimosa they serve is the best I've ever had (and at 75, that says it all). I... More
