Great food, delicious cocktails, spotty service

Delicious small plates and a wide range of great cocktails. Lots of fresh ingredients in both. Lively environment but not too loud. Sadly, the hostess was rude and server somewhat slow but she was at least very pleasant. Will go again.

My husband and I visited Level for our first date night after our wedding, driving up from DC. The food and drinks were outstanding. We enjoy small plates restaurants because it makes dinner more of an adventure, and the variety and quality of dishes at Level did not disappoint. I am gluten-free, and Level has a very gluten-friendly menu. The... More

We live in NYC and visit Annapolis often to visit our son. Our friends told us about this restaurant and we loved the food, the variety of dishes, and the vibe of the place. Oh, and they give you a real glass of wine rather than some small sampling. Small dishes and big wines was a winning combination. Now our... More

Popped in for a late, light dinner - the waiter was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious; siriracha fried chicken and Buffalo Sliders were amazing. We should have ordered more than two plates for the two of us - thought for sure an appetizer size would have been filling enough but after realizing how delicious each meal was... More

Really fell for the buy local, farm to table shtick. Every single one of our dishes was bland and had no flavor. Not sure how that could happen as the ingredients and dishes sounded so tasty. Amberjack sashimi roll, Ahi tuna grade 2 with fresh Maryland peaches, plus 4 other dishes. The best dish was the warm chocolate chip cookies... More

Annapolis is a friendly town and the people in this restaurant are remarkable for their friendliness --very personable, genuine and professional. The food was great too with larger portions than any of us expected from a "small plates" restsurant. The ribs were the table favorite. The flatbreads were amazing too. My bill was reasonable for this level of quality- $41... More

Perhaps we got a bad night but we experienced some of the most over-priced bad food we have ever had in a restaurant at any price. We ordered the $12 cheese plate. Server suggested bread with it but did not mention extra charge for bread, nor is it listed on menu. Cheese plate had three small pieces of mediocre cheese.... More

Thought we found something outside the tourist path. The menu had no harmony, difficult to find plates that complimented our first choice. And scallops in veal sauce -really? The main flavor seemed to be hot sauce and black pepper. The server got the wrong order and paid little attention to us the rest of the evening. And we were over... More

After recommendations from friends and reading rave reviews on TripAdvisor, my husband and I were anxious to try Level. The host was very nice and the restaurant is cute. Our waiter explained the concept and we ordered the famous vodka gimlet and 2 flatbreads to start (one was scallops and bacon and the other was Greek style). And now the... More

Both times we have visited this restaurant, we have been with a large group. The small plates are fantastic for sharing and the drinks are top notch! The lime gimlet is super yummy. I did prefer the upstairs bar! Worth the stop...
