You would expect the local seafood to be the star at a restaurant called 'Rockfish' but alas menu choices did not grab my attention. After receiving a menu I had to sit for 15 mins and then ask someone to take my order. Calamari was a little overlooked and very salty and oysters were disappointing. Band started at 10:00 and... Maybe the title of the review says it all. Or maybe not. Saturday lunch in Annapolis and this restaurant was a ghost town. Empty, dark, and somewhat musty, there was but one rockfish entree on the menu--$30--and it was average. Service was adequate, but forgetful.

Everything about Rockfish is "pretty good", but only a few items are great. You can't miss with the fresh fish offerings, espeically the name sake Rockfish. The preparations range from simple to complex, I tend to stay with the simple because some of the fanicer offereing were a bit too heavy and masked the taste of the fish. Rockfish isn't... More

We stumbled into the Rockfish for lunch during a very hot, crowded July 4th at Annapolis. And nearly walked out because the restaurant was startlingly empty of other diners. I'm glad we chose to stay. Our waitress Kat made excellent recommendations for food and beer and they were really nice about a having a toddler running around. I had a... More

Seafood better than average, but the noise level is probably the highest in Annapolis (probably due to the brick walls.) Great location just over the Eastport bridge (in Eastport). Good local musicians on weekends.

The food here was unbelievable. Had there rockfish. This is one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten. I would have kissed the chef if I could have. The portions were just right. My husband had the steak and was very happy with his choice. The presentation of the plates were outstanding. The service was excellent. Don't miss... More

I dine out around town (Annapolis) quite often, sometimes with friends, sometimes alone. I also am a regular with Groupon and Landmark coupons. I purchased a Landmark for Rockfish, as I have wanted to try it and had not been over to Eastport for sometime. I suggested taking a friend there before the certificate ran out, but then decided to... More

This Restaurant should be closed for training as to food, service, and care of customers. What restaurant runs out of bread on a Saturday night at 7:00 P.M.? We should have known things were going to be bad, when the Onion Soup arrived and tasted as though it came from a can. When bread was promised, it never arrived, as... More

I dined here on a Sunday evening. My first choice, Paul's Homewood Cafe, was having a private event. I had driven past Rockfish several times on my way to other restaurants in Eastport (Carrolls Creek, O'Learys, Ruths Chris) so decided to try it. I should have read the tripadvisor reviews first...I only did after I had ordered my entree. The... More

Oh. My. God. Worst experience at the bar ever. Save yourself. There are PLENTY of other, BETTER places to spend your time and money in Annapolis. AVOID THIS HELL HOLE!
