Afternoon respite in the 1747 Pub

Nice place to get away from the touristy crowds for a drink and read some important Americans' opinions on things! Nice beer list as well as basic bar food.

Food is fantastic, served in the historic cellar tavern circa 1747, or outside in the beautiful courtyard. Love the scallops and risotto ! Also, the crab dip with crostini bread ! Great selection of beer . We have also stayed in the inn in the past and they serve a fantastic breakfast !

Hearty American/English food. So delicious. And that baked brie?? Changed my opinion on brie FOREVER. It was incredible. I haven't had anything like it since. Worth getting as an appetizer, but beware: it takes some time for it to come to the table since they bake them to order, so if you're in a hurry, I wouldn't get it.

Dinner menu was simple but good. Service was outstanding. I loved the collection of tea cups all around the dining room. I have a similar collection and it was fun to compare. The dining room was charming and quiet, even with other guests close by.

We arrived at the end of the day to have a late lunch. Our choices were a variety of teas that were excellent. Food was well prepared and service excellent. We stayed later than planned and there was no pressure to leave even tho' we were the last diners. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a lighter delicious meal.... More

Very good tea, well presented, they offer both a high tea menu and a lunch menu and we had fried green tomatoes that were delicious and a warm goat cheese salad that was good but a bit meager for the price. But, overall it was a great Tea/ lunch and experience. Very civilized. The value for the tea itself is... More

This is an interesting venue with a great history. (Sixty years ago it was the library and I remember sitting on the same wood floors reading Nancy Drew books.) The menu is varies and the food is good. I took a group of five there for lunch in February and all were pleased with their meal. The sweet tea is... More

We bought tickets for the courtyard production of "The Servant with two Masters" on a Tues. We arrived at 6 pm and had walked a decent distance so went into the pub to cool off. We had good house wine and draft peach cider that was superb. We ordered the $5.00 crab dip. It was delicious and came with crostini... More

We had reservations for 7:30pm, and arrived at 6:30pm for time on the back-patio for happy hour and relaxation. We had a nice patio table and were greeted promptly by our server, Ebony. She was pleasant, polite and efficient. I had a draft from a nice selection. My wife had a wine from an equally decent amount of choices. We... More

A small group of friends met at the Reynolds Tavern for Afternoon Tea. The atmosphere is charming and the selection of teas, scones, savories and sweets is extensive. Every item I tried was delicious. It made for a lovely afternoon with friends.
