The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

Fun spot, great food

This spot was perfect for our family. Everyone could get what they wanted from pizza to sandwiches to shrimp. Decor and atmosphere were very pleasant and well done. Our waiter was very good.

This bright and appealing restaurant is tucked into a crowded neighborhood near the marinas. The menu is broad and prices quite reasonable. The raw bar and crab items are local and fresh. It's definitely worth fighting for a parking spot.

I've been here a few times and never had great service. I have previously been told that working in the restaurant industry leaves scope for making hundreds of mistakes a day - by the manager of this place! So I could kick myself for coming back today. We waited a long while between being seated and being offered a drink.... More

We eat here a lot, and it's a very loud and popular place in Annapolis. That being said, our meals yesterday (3 adults and 3 kids) were pretty awful. Two of the kids ordered fish and chips---the fries tasted like sticks of cardboard and the fish was mostly breading. My own Cobb salad with strips of chicken was tasteless and... More

This is a favorite spot for our family, which includes a very picky non sea food eater. The food is consistent, and the service is always good. There can be a wait for dinner, but it's worth it.

We had breakfast on a Sunday at 9:00 and got in before the crowds hit. Mimosas and Bloody Marys are just $2.00 from 8:00-10:00 for those so inclined. Everything our six ate was fantastic and everyone was really happy with the quality an the service and the atmosphere (NOT TOO NOISY--HURRAH!). The corned beef hash, often a hard item to... More

Had a crabcake sandwich. Pretty tasty, but it was more round and mounded, and not pan seared. I like mine a little flatter and some sear on them. Good amount of lump meat though. However, if you like smoked fish spread, you have to try theirs. I make my own at home and am VERY picky. This spread made with... More

Great atmosphere that reminded us of being home on the dock in Virginia. The locals were beyond friendly and my kids loved all the food. Light and airy open kitchen which kept the kids happy and the bar kept us happy during our long wait on a bustling Friday after a race. Their Cucumber Minette that came with our oysters... More

I arrived to the Boatyard around 3:30 on a Saturday. Being summer and downtown old Annapolis, parking was a little tricky but I found a spot eventually. This is one of those places that has multiple entrances but only one hostess stand. I puzzled my through the restaurant to find the hostess stand and asked to be seated. The hostess... More

Wow!!!! I'll say it again Wow!!!!! A friend told me I would not be disappointed and I was definitely not disappointed. I had the Chicken Noodle Soup and the Scallops and both were unbelievable. Most Foodies find that one place that floors them and this place was mine. If you are anywhere near Annapolis, stop by and grab a bite... More
