Description: The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

We really adored this this! Went for happy hour one night then came back the next day for lunch. Cheery, bright, nautical themed. I loved the decoration & atmosphere. Definitely family friendly. Food was wonderful.

Visited on a recommendation from a local. Best crab cakes in 5 days visiting the area. A block from the marina so no ocean views. Dark bar type interior and a few tables outside. Our server was great! Thanks, June! We would definitely come again.

This place is in Eastport and has a really quaint and friendly neighborhood feel. The atmosphere really captures the mood of Annapolis with its seafaring decor. The service is attentive and the food is consistently excellent and reasonably priced. For all these reasons, the restaurant can be really crowded during peak hours.

A cheery, bright marine decor bar and restaurant with interesting drinks. Very well run, clean, good wait staff. i think they have the best crab cakes in town. On Wednesday night after the races sailors come in to watch tapes of the races and it is a jovial crowd. Sunday brunch extra special. Worth the trip to the Republic of... More

we were in town for a wedding, and had time on a sunday to explore Annapolis. we were seated right away, glad we got there early enough as they filled up quickly... the breakfast/brunch menu was very extensive... it was hard to choose from the different egg dishes that all had a little flourish to their descriptions. so as I... We often bypass Boatyard Bar and Grill because of the wait, but this past Sunday we decided to stay for the 45 minutes to get a table. We were very glad we did. They had a special lobster roll served with your choice of salads or fries. The sandwiches were delicious, full of succulent lobster pieces. I had potato salad... More

I love when you visit a place for the second time, different time of day and different day of the week, and you're just so happy you made the discovery in the first place. Excellent crabcakes, calamari (fresh, not frozen!) and fish&chips plate. Servers multitask with such energy, and even with a fully packed bar, were happy to check the... More
