Description: The Boatyard is where local sailors, fishermen and lovers of the Chesapeake enjoy pint drinks, great crab cakes and the freshest local seafood. Specialties include smoked fish of the day (on premise), cream of crab and Maryland crab soups and an extensive list of crab and seafood specialties. The First Lady came from the White House to enjoy our crab cakes. The Boatyard has the most extensive raw bar in the area including a variety of oysters, clams, shrimp and mussels. The Boatyard receives awards for being most family friendly and having the best burger on the Bay. Its weekend brunch is the best in the area. The Boatyard is located in the historic maritime district of Eastport-a short walk or water taxi from Annapolis City Docks. Its photo boat films the local sailing races and shows them nightly. Named by Coastal Living, Sailing World and Sail Magazine as one of world's top sailing/boating restaurants.

We visited on a weekend getaway from the snow of Pa ( also where we get no fresh seafood!!!) We all enjoyed our meals and tried a variety of things - crab cakes , crab soup, fish, oysters Rockefeller , soft shell crab sandwich and a pound of steamed shrimp. It was all fresh and delicious. Portions where generous as... More

We really like the Boatyard Grill. It is a fabulous example of Annapolis at its best - lively, great sea food, an oyster bar and inventive dishes. And, it is important to note that the owner of the Boatyard is a dedicated supporter of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and he works tirelessly to improve the Bay. I like supporting establishments... Not a fan of chain restaurants, and places like the Boatyard are the reason why. Key West like atmosphere, family oriented, near the water. We ate the Maryland Crab soup, and it was wonderful.

Came with a friend for dinner on a recommendation. We were seated promptly, and waited a while to order drinks. Waited a while to order our meals. Food arrived quickly and was quite good. I ordered grilled scallops from the daily specials menu and they were very good. Had service been a bit more consistent I would have given an... More

We've eaten here several times and have been OK with the meals and wanted to show off to our of town guests. Perhaps they had the 4th string chef in because it was the Saturday after Christmas, or perhaps they are not as good as they used to be. The soft shell crab was tiny - dwarfed by the bread.... More

We like to go to the non-touristy side of the Annapolis Marina for a bite. Usually we go here or to the Charthouse. We discovered this little gem last summer and had wonderful oysters there. This time, we went mid day for an early dinner and had jambalaya, corn and lobster bisque, and twin lobster rolls with drawn butter and... More

We went there for a Birthday / Christmas dinner. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. The soup came out warm and had to be sent back. The table was in a direct line to the rear exit door so every time someone left, we got a huge burst of cold air along the bottom of the table.... More

The waitress wasgreat she was patient as people werecomingin and came ready with drinks and offered up great menu suggestions. Now if you like shrimp and grits...DO NOT come here!!! Your feelings will be hurt and your tastebuds will feel disrespected.... More

Went there with a group of friends. Two of us had to send our soup back as it was lukewarm the other two just ate it. When it came back hot they were good. The Rasta pork was great the fish and chips what you would expect from Denny's and fries on the soggy side. The service was good. The... More

We were four for a celebratory lunch but nothing could go right. My son ordered a Coke which was almost pure syrup. My husband and daughter-in-law ordered four different kinds of oysters that were served on one platter. The server was unable to identify which oysters were which kind and explained they all taste pretty much the same. My husband... More
