Funky atmosphere with great food. Crack your own crab. Calamari and fried green tomatoes were good also. Fun time for a group.

Could not believe the GPS was correctly directing me, but all of a suddenly there I was. Located right on the water. Able to watch the boat deliver the crabs fresh! No problem having my crab cake broiled, not fried. Hush puppies were delicious.

Cantler's is a must go to in the Annapolis area for cracking crabs and frankly other seafood. I would get their early (11:30 to 12:00) or late as it is very popular located in a nice spot right on the Severn river. While most folks get the crabs we went for everything else which was generally very good (crabcakes, rockfish... More

We had never been to Cantler's but we were looking for a good place that serves steamed crabs. Cantler's came highly recommended and didn't disappoint! We enjoyed sitting outdoors and shared a dozen steamed crabs that were fantastic. The service was good as well. We had to wait a bit for a table but only around 30 minutes on a... More

The restaurant manager ruined our dining experience. I took my family, who were visiting from abroad, for a nice crab/seafood experience. We ordered a bottle of wine and food. Waitress got confused and brought the wrong bottle (covered in a wine cooler), after a 20 minute wait. We realized when we saw the bill with the wrong price. I indicated... More

For steamed crabs on a waterfront setting we usually go to Crab Claw in St Michaels, or Mike's in Riva. Otherwise, the closest is Bethesda Crab House where the crabs are always good and spicy even though the surroundings can use some improvement. This time we wanted to try a different place so decided on Cantler's just outside Annapolis. Someone... More

We had read the reviews regarding long waits, but went instead on a rainy weeknight in late May. We were seated at a table right next to the door, they told us that was all that was available, even though we could see other vacant tables. We were told the porch was full, so we never saw it. Got the... More

The restaurant has a lovely view from the outside seating. You can dock your boat and the passengers come in to eat. The main course (crab imperial) was excellent but the sides were plain ... boiled red potatoes and steamed asparigus (not seasoned). The chocolate cake was excellent also. Service was again excellent. The inside is dreary and could use... More

5 if us. Everything was great (except the steamers - Sandy and mushy). Otherwise everything else was fab. Also had a great waterfront view.

Casual and cool local place off the water. Crabs are good and the view is amazing. Be prepared for a mess.. ;)
