My husband is a huge tavern fan so we tend to stop at every one we pass. I was expecting a tourist trap but this was a great experience. We visited at about 1 p.m. on the day before Easter and sat in the basement tavern; we were the only people in that section, although the outside patio and the... More

Me and my girlfriend called to this place after walking around Annapolis. The server was very good and food was excellent lot of great sandwiches on the menu especially. Only thing that was not great was the bill was bit over priced for what we had. Very good overall

Went there for lunch on a lovely day in annapolis. Very crowded (why?) but we got seated pretty quickly. Live music - good but loud. Slow but friendly service (they were busy) but the food was NOT good. We each had something different and both got a little sick afterward. Everywhere else we've eaten in annapolis has been great.

I'm a regular, love the quality of the live bands here. A great spot to hear country, bluegrass, jazz, and folk. The MD governor O'Malley's band, O'Malley's March even plays now and then. Service is good, well-organized, in obtrusive. Wines priced well.

Liked the place for its ambience, space and location that is close to Annapolis historic places. Didn't have much vegetarian choices - so my food experience was limited to soup and salad.

I live in Annapolis, and this is where we always go to celebrate special occasions. There are more expensive and fancier restaurants in town, there are restaurants where you pay for a scenic view, there are restaurants where you have to dress up, there are restaurants with snooty staffs. There is also the restaurant scene that caters to the boating crowd,... Rams Head's cream of crab soup is wonderful. As I understand it they only serve it in the winter though. The mac and cheese was also exceptional! Really it was that good! The rest of our food was pretty good too but the wings could have been a bit crispier. It's easy to park at Gotts garage and walk there... More

An enjoyable destination for an evening in historic Annapolis. Bar and resto in the original tavern has a lovely authentic ambience, just the right lighting and noise. We had a very helpful and genuine server. Dishes were... almost there. Calamari was short on flavor but it was cooked perfectly well. My swordfish dish was nicely presented however it was a... More

Came to eat before a show next door. It gets suoer crowded, so we ate at the bar. Bar staff super busy - not the best at watching for signs for refills, etc. we ate near the door which was busy and draft...but not horrible. Food was good - not off the charts - but fresh, hot and tavernish.

Stopped in for a beer because it was associated with the Dominion Brewing Company which moved its brewery into our state. It was also recommended by the hotel concierge. It was a very cold day so I ordered a hearty stout as a bracer and their pulled pork sandwich. My wife had the fish tacos. The food was well above... More
