Incredible brunch with amazing food and cocktails

As this was only a few minutes walk from our hotel (Loews) and we'd read rave reviews, we thought we'd give it a try for brunch. We were not disappointed. The menu was huge. Too huge, priced a little high but delicious! If you're in a group I would suggest family dining. Buy 2-3 dishes and just share everything. I ordered the Spicy Shirley (bloody mary), terrible. It was thick and sweet. But, thankfully, my wonderful server took it off. Ordered the Southern Grit Fritters and the Fried Green Tomatoes,... We usually stop here for breakfast. Mrs j gets mini waffles (4) and I ordered the lobster omelet with avacado, side dish of fruit, and sourdough toast .and bacon OJ and coffee Everything was wonderful . While we were there the family next to us told us about Trader Joes so we went there instead of Whole Foods. Loved our... More

If you are staying at The Westin Annapolis, this IS the breakfast place to see in the morning. Maybe the portions are TOO big, but that is a good problem.

My girlfriend has many dietary issues. She was able to discuss them directly with both a manager and one of the chefs. She was able to have an omelet made of cage-free eggs with applewood bacon which comes from hormone free animals. My omelet of swiss cheese, bacon, and sausage was great. The hash browns were perfect and the coffee... More

Having seen all the write ups about this restaurant and having witnessed all the lines we decided to see what we were missing. The answer, NOT much! All of the food we tried was very under seasoned. The grits were the consistency of wallpaper paste and the home fries were bland and both served at a barely warm condition. Out... More

So said Yogi Berra, and he might have been talking about Miss Shirley’s. Try going there on a Sunday for brunch, and you’re likely to experience a wait of up to an hour for a table. And, if you’re not famished, it’s worth the wait. On my last visit, we had a group of four and we sampled across the... More

My husband and I visited this restaurant on Saturday as I had won a gift certificate and had heard great things about the food. I was very excited to finally visit and after a 20 minute wait, we were finally seated. Looking around, all of the food was very appealing which made it difficult to order. Finally my husband settled... More

We stayed in the Westin hotel for the family reunion and the family Members who check-in the day before all said they enjoyed Miss Shirleys for breakfast. We ate there on Saturday morning around 9:20 (3 of us) and had no wait. I knew of the Miss Shirley's in Baltimore and was glad to have the opportunity to finally try... More
