As a longtime Annapolis resident I am always looking for any local eatery away from the crush of downtown hustle. We were told of Leeward market by friends and chose to have lunch on Memorial Day/Commissioning Week weekend . We sat outside on one of the benches to allow our new pup to stay with us. We had the Peruvian... More

Food excellent, seat yourself, no wait staff.self serve coffee, self serve cutlery etc. The cook was the only one there and he does a great service and tries to please. It's well worth a good tip. A change in ownership may be on the way. Sort of a homey place, not much for a feel good atmosphere but made up... More

Very laid back vibe in this cute neighborhood spot. Share a picnic table with locals on a warm day or eat in the little dining room that has a funky coffee shop feel to it. Haven't tried a pizza yet but the chicken gyro is something special! It's probably not a place you'd happen upon but it's worth seeking out... More

Leeward Market has excellent pizzas and sandwiches. Located in Eastport, it caters to locals and sailors rather than tourists (though tourists are welcome). It's a nice reprieve from the hustle of downtown Annapolis. A kids' play area is set up in one corner. Order at the counter and seat yourself. I've had the mozzarella sandwich and a few of their... Funky seems to be the operative word for this fun little neighborhood market in Eastport. We wandered in at lunchtime and found it full of locals grabbing something to go or eating/reading/ chatting in the small dining area. We enjoyed our tasty, made-to-order sandwiches and the very welcoming, laid back neighborhood atmosphere. A great stop for a casual breakfast or... More

The food was great, but the portions were small. The service was terrible and the staff was not friendly. Would not eat here again.

Small and quaint this corner neighborhood cafe in beautiful Annapolis might be worth the effort. Food was delicious with unusual and appetizing selections. On the down side, my daughter and I walked in and a man sort of greeted us and told us to sit at the counter or just give our order to the cashier. We asked if we... More

Superlative venue...Great sandwiches and Pizza. This little restaurant seems more like a visit with friends that really cook well. Overall, Leeward Market is a must for any visit to the Eastport/Annapolis area.

My husband and I first ate here a few months ago and have gone back a few times...looking forward to the next opportunity. This is a small place with a bit of a funky vibe, but as soon as we walked in we felt at home. Lisa, the owner, is always friendly and she makes you feel welcome, like you're... More

Don't be scared by this restaurant's humble setting as one reviewer was. I laughed when I read their one-star review because they left without ordering any food! Check it out (see below). This restaurant is funky, inside and out -- go ahead and try the food before you pass judgment. We love the toasted bagels with smoked salmon, which is... More
