As a 25 year Harford County resident, I have done business with Musical Inn mostly carrying out instead of dining in. I do not eat their cheesesteaks, but just their pasta dishes are enough for me with their ravioli. Meat sauce was okay, but their traditional meatless sauce was better.

When I was a kid this was the place to get your steak subs from, but nowadays none of our family goes there anymore. The quality just seems to have fallen off and the subs just aren't what they used to be.

But this little place has been making the very best cheese steak subs for decades! And if you want a cold beer, they have that too.

I visited for the first time yesterday and had to try the cheesesteak sub as recommended. Worse sub I have ever had. The meat was ground and tasted about like sawdust. Even the (supposed) fried onions were chopped so small they were nonexistant; but the mushrooms were in huge pieces. I could not even pick it up to eat it... More

The cheesesteak is the best! I will go there everytime I am in the area. I advise to call your order in if possible!

The Musical Inn has a unique tasting steak sub that is arguably the best in the area. The secret is in the special marinade that the cook (and, I believe, the owner) ladles onto the meat while on the grill. Apparently, it is a closely guarded secret. I always order my sub with everything, including hots, and the quality and... More

They now add greasy low budget ground beef to the cheesesteak. Not very good.

Granted, I have not been back to APG since my Army days. I was there from 78-81. Back then, the Steak and Cheese sub was the best anywhere in the world - as far as I am concerned. Whenever I want a steak sub here in Kansas, I always think of the Musical Inn. Wished I could replicate it here... More

Anyone who thinks the cheesesteaks here are good has no idea what a cheesesteak is. A CHEESESTEAK SHOULD NOT BE MADE WITH GROUND BEEF! Rather than chipped beef, the guy uses hamburger meat to make his cheesesteak. Prompted by reviews on this site I tried one yesterday. The cheesesteak made with ground beef is a joke. Avoid the cheesesteak.
