My Favorite Restaurant in Maine! Laura is the BEST!

The best lobster roll in Maine, hands down! Worth the trip off the beaten Augusta path to this family restaurant. Friendly people, great guests, I even got travel advice from a couple seated next to me. Cannot miss the lobster roll. They have all kinds of specials and wonderful chocolate... read more

I usually order the fried veggie plate. Too much food for one person, but there is always plenty of folks at the office that will help me finish it off. Can be crowded at times. When you have a craving for fried food near Augusta, ME this is the place to go. The business supports many worth charities in the... More

My friends & family often frequent the Red Barn because of it's quick, efficient, friendly service. The portions are generous, and it's very clean. The Red Barn's Lobster Roll is fairly priced and far superior to any lobster roll II can get here on the Coast of Maine where I live. - In addition, I also enjoy the Seafood Stew.... More

We come to Maine for a week every summer and always make sure to fit in at least one meal at the red barn. Reasonable prices and big portions.

It's clean, has plenty of parking, the staff is friendly, & they draw large crowds. Two times in a row now the chowder has been not hot enough to more than 1 of our likings. Also, as a hardcore clam chowder person I don't think the fish chowder here is anything to rave about, taste wise anyway. As far as... More

Stopped at Red Barn on our way through the area because it was recommended by local hotel staff. Late in the day during the week and the place was packed. Ordered at the counter, found the only available table and the food was ready in minutes. My wife and I had the clam strips and scallops with a large order... More

Freshest of fish, delish cold slaw but the lobster roll has almost a lobster in each one! Down home Maine restaurant , friendly staff & owners make everyone welcome from the get-go. Wish the frys where home made(from scratch) but every thing else is. Happy family place to go!

We read great reviews of this restaurant and decided to check it out while taking our kids to camp. It was so good I planned another trip there two weeks later when picking the kids up. I must confess that I am not a big lobster roll fan, but I did try my wife's seafood stew and really liked it.... More

Whenever I am on Augusta, I eat at the Red Barn! The service is great and the food is amazing! Everything I have tried on the menu has been fantastic. My favorites are the lobster roll and Laura's seafood stew.

First time to Maine and this plase came highly recommended. The absolute best seafood we have ever had. The seafood stew and the lobster roll was to die for. If I could have taken a bunch home, we would have, we drive truck and home is in Utah. Would highly recommend to everyone and we will definately be back. Service... More
