We’re tourists and maybe there’s better seafood around, but the Red Barn seemed as authentic a Maine eating experience as one is likely to get. Locals packed this place but the turnover was fast and the service incredibly friendly and accommodating. A pink-haired lady roved the room, assuring everyone’s satisfaction; she gave us a complimentary cup of their excellent seafood... More

On a recent foliage trip to New England the my wife and I happened to go near Augusta Maine. I did a search on my GPS for restaurants nearby, and the Red Barn Restaurant was listed and had a few reviews so we decided to stop by. It was easy to find, and had a huge parking lot with many... More

When I found out that I had to work in Augusta all week, I wasn't too bummed as I remembered the Red Barn was not far. I went 3 times for lunch..getting the mixed seafood snack the first time around (fish, shrimp, clam & scallop with fries) for $11.75 and since the scallops were so sweet and tasty, I went... More

We have been here several times, and they always provide fresh and delicious seafood. Fast service and reasonable prices. Plenty of parking as well. We really like the Red Barn Drive-In.

I was told this place was awesome..I was underwhelmed It maybe that I don't like everything fried. Nice staff....rustic atmosphere.....a little pricey for fried food. The owner is very supportive of the local area...so I went to say thanks

We tried the Red Barn again a couple of weeks ago, hoping that it would be better than we remembered. They are very active in the community and we thought they deserved another try. We had a chicken basket and a hamburger,. Both were OK. The fries are tasteless and boring. It's a good enough place to eat if you're... More

This place has the best chowder. It is packed with seafood and lobster. The flavor is amazing and its not overly creamy like a lot of others, it's more of a seafood broth with a perfect consistency. You can buy it in pints and quarts to go too. The Red Barn seems to do a lot in the community in... More

The best lobsta' roll in town! Called ahead for my order. Had to navigate my way through the line at the counter to pick up but they had it all packed and ready to go!
