I had some incredible seafood chowder. It had shrimp, fish, scollops and clams and a delicious broth. The onion rings and fries were perfect. The haddock was fresh, fried perfectly and also delicious. The prices were reasonable for fresh seafood as well. The place is very clean and the staff very friendly. There were some tables outside Too. All in... More

My husband is a chowder snob and he said this was by far the best seafood chowder he's ever had!!! (Shhh don't tell his mother!) I had the seafood mix basket and it was all delicious. I especially liked the fried shrimp and home made rolls. Will probably get just the shrimp basket next time and I must try their... More

I took a chance on a groupon and discovered this place! I now have friends, family and myself hooked. The service is great regardless of the number of cars in the lot or the line when you walk in. It moves quickly and is well worth it. For seafood the prices are fair. I now often see the Red Barn... More

Stopped on way to UMaine. Fried seafood platter fresh although shrimp are very small. Reasonably priced. Fast service. We like to sit outside. Disappointed soft serve machine not working.

We stopped here on our way out of Maine and although none of us were hungry we still ate a lot of food it was just that good. We had one lobster roll the traditional way and one with just the lobster and the butter on the side. The seafood stew was fantastic and I wish we would have had... More

We used to Trip Advisor to find a reasonably priced seafood place in Augusta on our way out of town from Belfast. Conveniently located a mile off of Rt. 3, a major thoroughfare from Down East, The Red Barn is in a modest but clean building with primarily in-state license plates in the parking lot. The place was jammed but... More

Stopped for lunch on a Sunday around 1 p.m. Busy place but there seems to be enough seating and parking and the lines move quickly. Only one restroom though. You place your order at the counter or the outside window and they call out your name on a loudspeaker when your order is ready. You can take it inside, outside... More
