We searched historic downtown Augusta for something with a view of the River, but no dice. There was one Italian place with a deck but it wasn’t open. We had hoped the Riverfront Grille would be on the Riverfront, but it’s across the street and if you are at a certain table with a certain angle you can see a... More

The food was very good at this restaurant, but the service was slow. For much of our time in the restaurant, there was only one waitress. Still, if you like barbeque, this is the place for you. Their grilled cornbread is not to be missed!

Decided to have lunch here after seeing the good reviews. I ordered ribs and brisket - a relatively standard BBQ order - but get this: they don't serve that unless you agree to an up charge of $4. I've never heard of a barbecue place that doesn't offer a basic two meat plate! Ribs: very dry and over-smoked. Roughly half... More

The service was good and fast but the food nothing out of the ordinary. We had ribs as appetizer and they were over cooked. The brisket was good but the barbecue beans were not that great. Cole slaw was savory. The portion were very good and prices reasonable.

I actually live part time in Augusta and wanted to give Riverfront a shout out because it is just damn good. They serve great portions of great food. Local seafood with a Louisiana flair. Very unusual in Maine where a lot places keep it bland for the natives. The chef/owner has Louisiana roots and can serve up a great jambalaya... More

I have visited this lovely establishment time and again without disappointment. It offers amazing barbeque options, a cozy atmosphere, and delightful staff. The prices are very reasonable, the place is clean; and there are many kid friendly options. I am partial to the BBQ steak bomb, but I have also tried many other dishes and have yet to complain. I... We stayed overnight in Augusta on our way to Belfast, and used TA to find a place to eat. Barbeque in Maine seemed like a gamble, but we weren't disappointed.we shared a salad and the full ribs platter which cames with a large piece of cornbread and two sides (we had french fries and barbeque beans). Everything was terrific and... More

We've frequented this restaurant ever since it originally opened a number of years ago when two brothers began the business under Beale Street BBQ. Several years ago, the brothers separated as partners and entered into their own business arrangements, and we've had occasion to visit both establishments in different parts of the state. Today, my wife and I decided to... More

We only make it to this restaurant once a year in the summer, but it's worth the trip. We're big fans of the burrito with brisket and the smoked chicken quesadillas. The Jerk chicken is outstanding, but only try it if you like seriously hot food!
