I love barbecue and this local place really impressed me on the first visit. They play the blues, the meat was tender, moist and tasty...totally loved it. Then the next visit the meat was more dry, there were a lot more people in the room which, due to not having anything to absorb sound, made it quite loud with just... More

We eat here often, but last night was to die for. THE summer salad....with strawberries, mandarin oranges, goat cheese, slivered almonds, etc...was great as was the strawberry shortcake. Best we've ever had. Fried, crispy corn bread with cinnamon, strawberries, fresh whipped cream. YUM. It's seasonal so get down there fast!

We have been to Riverfront BBQ three times over the past two years. Have found the food to be consistently good. Not the best 'que we have ever had, but above average. They typically have some good specials, although our server neglected to mention them until prompted by us. Menu has a good variety of items, even for someone adverse... More

Our group of 7 was welcomed, and a table to accommodate all of us was immediately put together. The menu had a vast selection of barbecue and non-barbecue offerings. We all were in the mood for barbecue: 2 couples ordered appetizers and loved them. For the main meal, 2 couples split the BBQ sampler, 2 people ordered the combo of... More

We would probably eat here more often but it's not really for vegetarians (although you won't starve). Good beer selection, staff is friendly & accommodating (no rolled eyes if you get there just before closing). There are always people there AND you can always get a table. The hush puppies are amazing. Hot (spicy) does mean hot. Good crabcakes. It's... More

Good pulled pork, with bun or cornbread, great baked beans and coleslaw. Service was excellent. All around good experience.

This is my favorite place to eat in Augusta after a day of shopping. Skip the Olive Garden, Longhorn and all of those boring chain restaurants full of processed, sodium filled food and head to Riverfront BBQ! Their pulled meats are delicious and the cornbread is the best I have ever had. The meats are dry rubbed and slow smoked... More

We always have a great experience when we go here, they have great bbq and you can smell it radiating through the entire restaurant. Great micro brews. I like the Pulled pork Quesedilla with a side of beans, the Beans here are awesome. If you are in Central Maine this is pretty much the only place that has Decent BBQ.... More

The Riverfront BBQ always serves quality food and the staff is friendly. Stop upstairs at The Gin Mill before your meal for a vast selection of beers, wines, liquor and listen to some great music in the most comfortable lounge. Always a great evening!
