Very enjoyable meal, very good service

This was our first visit to this restaurant and found it to be very good. Considering that Augusta is not a culinary mecca, we found Gaglianos to be a refreshing change. Two of us shared the calamari appetizer, (not the calamari fritti, but the other one), and it was excellent. The sauce tasted... read more

After reading the great reviews we decide to give it a try. I felt like I was at the wrong restaurant. The reviews were of exceptional service and food. I found it anything but not that it was bad just not up to the high standards of the reviews. I dined with my wife and a friend. we ordered one... More

My friends and I were the only three people in the restaurant during lunch, but we waited almost 30 minutes for two sandwiches and one salad. When the meals arrived, one of my friends received an eggplant panino instead of the chicken wrap she had ordered. The cheese (what minuscule amount there was) on the panino had been added as... We had a great time at Gagliano's. If you don't mind the tight squeeze and intimate (read: small) tables--eat here. Everything else is larger than life. I found myself saying "This must be how the food tastes in Italy." We started with bruschetta which was so fresh with tangy balsamic vinegar on it. I had chicken saltimboca and a delicious... More

The food is fresh, organic, created by Italian chefs who take their time to make truly glorious subtle sauces. I started with the spinach salad with Gorgonzola, walnuts, balsamic, and strawberries (despite this being last week in the dead of a cold January). The dressing was a balsamic reduction, the walnuts had been prepared/toasted, the baby spinach was perfect, and... More

What an incredible meal! No wait! In Portland there would be a line of customers waiting to get in to this place! Service is excellent. This is Augusta's best kept secret. Food is made from scratch and is magnificent! Give up the Olive Garden and get to this place for the real thing at the same price!

The food here is cooked on premises, not frozen in some faraway factory, shipped, and thawed. Their lasagne is so good, you'll want to lick the plate. They have a nice selection of pasta with meat sauce or marinara, and the four cheese sauce is off the planet. You can get a salad, followed by an entree, and still have... More

Found this restaurant using the trip advisor app. read some of the reviews and they did not disappoint! The food was fresh and very well prepared. The main dishes took a little while to come out but the wait was well worth it. I ordered the spicy meatball pizza as a calzone, my wife ordered the lasagna. Both dishes were... More

Just dined here for the first time the other day. So glad we did...amazing and authentic Italian cuisine prepared in - house. Lovely European atmosphere on the Kennebec River right in downtown Augusta. They serve Italian bread with a delicious aioli as well as with a serving of bruchetta tomatoes. Caesar salad was fresh and crisp with just the right... More

Real pizza with high quality ingredients. Homemade sauce, homemade dough, homemade sausage. Real mozzetta and fresh mushrooms. This pie is the real deal, we can now get takeout pizza that's just flatout great.
