Great breakfast place!

Huge menu, home cooked style food. Perfect for a hearty breakfast. Corned beef hash is made on site, all kinds of creative pancakes (like apple crisp and almond joy), and several variations of eggs Benedict. This place is not fancy but the food is great!

First we had to wait about 1/2 and hour just to get seated not bad for a fathers day. This is when the problem came in. Waitress took our order and told us to get comfortable? 40 minutes later it came out. The other bad news was when the bill came now none of us had steak or anything like... More

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning around 10 AM, line out the door. We were served coffee quickly by our personable waitress. The food took much longer. However, we were brought a warm gooey fresh cinnamon bun gratis, for the wait. Mmmmmmm, nom, nom, nom. The omelettes were well balanced, toast was from fresh made bread, and the home... More

My eggs were cooked perfectly and the homemade corned beef hash was superb! My wife said her omelet was one of the tastiest she had ever had. The most amazing thing was how fast we were waited on and served! And it was a busy morning with only one waitress on duty. It was the owners' daughter. I forget her... More

Saw it was busy and decided to try it. Pricey for low quality, small portion and not great food. Staff is nice ( on some days; stopped by on another occasion but had to leave for other reasons) but the restaurant itself is tired and it reflects( Perfect job for Robert Irvine). Will not go there again and wouldn't recommend... More

Great breakfast diner. The staff is friendly and the food is really good. Very pleased with the portions that are given as well. Awesome place for a home cooked breakfast!

About a year ago my husband and I stopped by the Center Street Cafe for breakfast. Initially it looked promising: busy and a nice buzz about the place. However, after waiting, along with several others who entered ahead of us, for over ten minutes and not being acknowledged by any of the staff we opted to go elsewhere. Today we... More

It's too bad we had to wait almost an hour for the food, because once we got it, it was excellent. Eggs Benedict was tasty, hash home made and delicious. The cinnamon toast and buns were also great. Lots I locals come here for the large portions and good prices. Unfortunately, it took an hour for the food to come... More

My husband and I travel to Auburn/Lewiston to visit family almost yearly from Texas. Last year it was recommended that I try breakfast at Center Street Café. We will never go anywhere but there now! Their corned beef hash was the best I've ever tasted as was the homemade breads, muffins, etc. Very friendly and courteous waitstaff. It appears that... More

First time to the Cafe.Started really nice. Our Waitress was freindly and had a personally. This review is basicly about what happend in the kitchen. After a fair wait our Waitress comes out with a partial order. Mixed Berry Waffle and a side of ham for myself. She also had a side plate of bacon for my wife, but without... More
