This is the place to buy fresh lobster, shrimp, scallops, and/or any type of seafood that might be available. The lobster salad is also delicious! No order to big - they cook lobster and steamed clams when requested. They have a small side bar with chairs to sit at near the grill and/or a couple of picnic tables available outside.... More

This is where I buy my fresh lobsters and I ask them to cook them for me to remove the guilt. Their friend clams are GREAT. They also make an excellent and generous lobster roll

This is by far the best place to get fresh seafood and lobster. You can call ahead and they will steam (not boil) your lobsters at no extra charge. As far as the fried food we feel it is a little greasy and suggest they get a better brand of fry oil or change it more often. You can smell... More

Mac's has been a good place but we tried again tonight and found the portions to be less than fair for the price. The two person platter was the same size as the single order.

My husband and I were in the area after visiting Baxter Brewery and wanted to hit up a little known joint so this was the place. I had the lobster roll (I was on a quest for the perfect roll) and my husband had the clam roll. We split an order of onion rings. Inside, there are only about 9... More

I have gone to Mac's Downeast Seafood on several occassions and have always been happy. I also have coworkers that travel to Maine from NJ and they always want to go here when in town. The food is absolutely great and prices are reasonable. I would recommend the large lobster roll (I prefer clear meat). It is very filling and... More

Mac's is really a seafood market with about 9 counter seats. We had lobster stew and lobster rolls. The lobster stew was excellent. It was rich in flavor and had at least 1/4-lb lobster in it. The lobster rolls were grilled and served with sweet sandwich pickles. They were good, but needed some extra seasoning. I highly recommend going here... More

We ate at Mac's Seafood . (Not to be confused with Mac's Grille about 1 mile North) We had clam chowder and lobster stew. The chowder was very average, with weak flavor. The lobster stew was good, and did have generous amounts of lobster in it. Atmosphere was pretty casual, basically this is a take out place where you order... More
