This is a good little restaurant, nothing exceptional about the meal, service or atmosphere, but a good meal in Alexandria. The bisque was excellent and the crepes were good as well, with plenty of food to go around. If back in Alexandria, I would go back.

We stopped here based on the T.A. reviews. The bisque was the best we've ever had. The bread is fried and fabulous. The service is slow but friendly.

Food is good. Service above average. Setting is nice. We have eaten here on numerous occasions, and been satisfied. Seafood entrees are recommended. Large portions. Would recommend.

Love the food! Delicious popcorn crawfish and chocolate pecan pie. Many tasty items on the menu and art on the walls was nice.

Food is delicious. Waiter was very nice. You will be discouraged by the properties around the restaurant, but don't miss out on trying the food there.

I went to this Alexandria, LA landmark for dinner and it was great. I had the seafood gumbo and a dish they called Chicken Ponchatrain. The gumbo featured a deep brown rioux and was full of shrimp and oysters. The Chicken Ponchatrain featured a large chicken breast covered with crab meat, crawfish, and mushrooms. Very tasty.

Stopped here on our way to Florida. Good flavors but too much sauce on the food. Had the blackened catfish which was smothered in so much sauce you couldn't taste the actual fish. Service was wonderful.
