Good basic Louisiana seafood, nothing fancy. I miss the atmosphere of the old building they were in , but they still are a very good local restaurant to visit. Best stuffed crab you will find in the area. more

We ate there today for Easter lunch. Over the years I have heard alot of hype about this place, so thought we would try it out. All of the food reminded me of supermarket frozen type fish sticks. Yes! I said IN THE WORLD! I have lived in Louisiana ALL MY LIFE (I'm still here) and Middendorf's has ALWAYS been the best place to eat true Louisiana fried seafood. A bit of a drive (45 min from N.O., roughly) but the best catfish in these parts. I prefer the thick cut filets, though many locals prefer the thin sliced filets. more
