As good as Hawks, and less of a schlep. A tad expensive, but worth every penny. Get there by 4 to put your name in, or you wont be seated till late

Cajun Claws is a small town delight! A true Cajun experience. Mr Donnie Choate, born and raised in Abbeville, gives a wonderful dining experience. At Cajun Claws your platter consists of hand picked prime crawfish. Add corn, and potatoes and your meal is complete? Seasoned to perfection, the true Cajun cuisine. Also a town with some of the friendliest people... More

I taste SUGAR in their fried shrimp. I prefer a salty taste. I also thought the crawfish was good just not as flavorful as I prefer. It all depends on your tastes.

We live in Lafayette which is about 20 miles from Abbeville. During crawfish season we dine at Cajun Claws as often as we can. The boiled crawfish are second to none. Perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned, all very large (select) and clean. They are priced accordingly (not a budget meal). The restaurant also has other delicious selections on the menu; however,... There are a few restaurants we will drive hours out of our way to eat at. one is Bob Gibson's BB in Decater, Alabama and another is Cajun Claws in Abbeville, Louisiana. It is a rare find that is only open on Fridays when we are... More
