Very good and creative tapas

In the old center, a very good restaurant . You do not choose the tapas, It is a fixed menu. The decoration is nice , the place is a little bit noisy when full The tapas were all good apart the desert which is not so good compared to the others plates we had. I should have put 5 stars... read more

We were on the Starwood Incentive trip April 22nd and this restaurant was a last minute option presented to us for a group dine-around as our chosen restaurant fell though. We were absolutely delighted with what we experienced and are so glad this option was added at the last minute for us. The presentation was beautiful, food tasted amazing and... More

I tried the tasting menu, for $42. There were around 10 different dishes. The ceviche and the seafood soup were the ones I liked the most.

I went with my boyfriend for the tasting menu and we lived it. The courses were interesting and the service good. Like every tasting menu I've tried I didn't find the food uniformly delicious but for me that's not what it's about. We got to go on a culinary adventure, some of such of which was meh, some of which... More

Service is great in a not so great setting, but in an extraordinary location, the old town. Food has its up and down from quite good to quite unnoticeable. overall a god meal though, at a reasonablee price for the unreasonable average of casco antiguo.

This restaurant was recommended by the owner of the AirBNB where we stayed. The restaurant does not serve á la carte but offers a 10 course tasting instead. All courses were ok with some more unique than others. The seafood/octopus course was overcooked, turning the octopus into rubber. Price is quite hefty ($ 50 per person, incl. one drink) making... We chose Manolo Caracol based on reviews on TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. We were told my our hotel that we didn't need a reservation, but upon arrival, we were told that a reservation was required to sit inside on this busy Saturday night. Luckily they were able to accommodate us outside and we enjoyed the beautiful weather, street... More

Manolo Caracol only has a set menu of about 10 small courses. The location is great and we sat outside and got to experience the neighborhood, which is hip and happening. The service was excellent. The food was interesting, but overall pretty bland. It definitely needed some spices to add dimension. Given that, it was a fun restaurant which we... More

My wife and I received a recommendation or Manolo Caracol that turned out to be perfect! The 7 course tasting meal was amazingly paired with a Spanish Tempernillo. The spicing was both tempting and subtle and left us wanting more. We left like we'd had an amazing moment, already planning to return. Don't miss this place... you'll regret it.

Manolo Caracol is in the Casco Antiguo section of Panama which has become a popular place for tourists and nationals alike. Panama has done a good job in developing this very old section which was dilapidated until people took interest in making it a great place to visit an stay. It is very close to the ocean. Manolo Caracol is... More
