Our best dinner in Panama City.

Indoor seating in a large and nice room. Farm-to-table cuisine. The focus is their eight course USD 41 tasting menu, but they also have a small menu on the chalkboard. We had the tasting menu, which was great. Our best and most sophisticated dining in Panama City. Great ceviche, seafood soup, fish... read more

Being a couple that prefers not to eat meat, you adjust to what the normal restaurants offer you as options or even just substitute meat for. In Panama it's not that easy besides Italian food to solve this situation. Our visit to Manolo Caracol was therefore a very pleasant surprise as they have only the option of tasting ("degustacion") serving... More

We stumbled on this place by accident our first night and nothing really compared the rest of the trip. It was really delicious food and the prices are not bad.

What a great evening. the tasting menu was an incredible treat. The portions are small but packed with flavor. Tried things that I have eaten before like bone marrow and ox tail. They were sumptuous. Likely not for everyone since the chef only serves what he can find fresh that day. You have no idea what you may get on... More

We passed by El Trapiche after looking at the menu. The waiter said "you'll be back" and we were! Good choice for a very reasonably priced dinner. We had shredded beef and brochettes. Nice change to chicken & rice and fish which we have had an awful lot of just recently!

I was disappointed as this was my second time visiting this restaurant as my first experience was excellent. This time the dishes were average and the price almost double from two years ago. Too expensive for the quality of the food, the wine selection and the service was very slow.

Our second night in the city, we dined at Manolo and enjoyed the meal so much we returned a week later on our last night in the city. The host remembered us and informed the chef that we were back -- which prompted Chef Andres to come to our table, introduce himself, tell us about Manolo's farm-to-table philosophy (complete with... We went here for supper last night, and had an excellent experience. The food we were presented with over 10 courses was all very unique and delicious. We both thought that we might be hungry afterward, given the nature of some higher-end prix-fixe menus, however we both walked away very full! Our favorite dishes were the roasted bone marrow with... What a great dinner. I ate here the first time I visited Panamá in September 2013. I moved here in February 2014 and have learned to truly appreciate good service when I can get it. Manolo has excellent customer service and food to match that level. I will be coming here more often!
