Very interesting tasting menu serving Panamanian inspired dishes using fresh local ingredients. Highly recommend. As some people have mentioned it is a bit pricey, but a similar experience in a major US or European city will easily cost 2-3 times as much.

Located into a renovated colonial building, this restaurant is very charming. They propose you a tasting/gastronomic menu of 8 dishes (seafood/veggies/...) from local food in Panama. All of them were very tasty & delicous. We had 1 cup of red wine each along with. It came up with all included (taxes/tips) to 120$ for 2. It was our best meal... More

A fun experience to taste your way through the evening. 8 courses with a palate cleanser and a dessert! Naturally some dishes were more to my liking than others, but overall it was great! I would have prefered being able to select my own dishes to try... Pricey though... 3 people and a bottle of red wine was around 200$US!

We really enjoyed the meal we had here, consisting of an eight course tasting menu. They made changes to accommodate non-meat eater and non-nut eater and this did not affect the great experience. I assume the menu changes regularly but outstanding dishes for us were the taco (beef or mushroom) which had very rich flavours and the fish served on... More

Located in the heart of the vibrant Casco Viejo Manolo Caracol serves creative and refined tapas in an informal way. We tasted 12 portions from fresh fish and ceviches to beef and spiced tea with sugar cane. It is fresh, tasty, sometimes surprising, always good. The vegetables come from the chef's organic farms. The service was fast with a good... More

I was very excited about trying this "gastronomic" restaurant located in the old town which offers a tasting menu based on Panamanian products with a Spanish influence. I was unfortunately quite disappointed. The restaurant is nice (taverna feel) and the staff is very knowledgeable but the food was very salty and I wasn't served anything that made me say WOW!... I'm a foodie. Place is advertised as a chef's survey of several dishes which are all Panamanian grown done with the chef's creativity and special touch. There's no menu...you just go and get what you get. That sounded great! But... Overall, pricey by Panamanian standards. Frankly, the food was just OK (my teenager was less than thrilled). And my dishes... More

Wonderfull "local" meal for ok prices. Great dinner in great ambiance! have not enjoyed a dinner that much for a long time. We asked "on the spot" for a vegetarien meal and the cooks "made up" a 7 course meal bedide the normal plates. Excellent & creative! Keep going like that!
