The Restaurant is situated in one of the rooms of a fully restored private mansion dating back to 1657 and is one of the very first structures built in the old fortified Spanish city. The original walls and arches are skillfully blended into a cosy dining and bar area. We have now expanded further into the old house and now offer private dining

Best in Casco Antiguo

This place leads the way in fine dining in the revitalizing old district. Great menu, fine wine selection, attentive service, and cool comfortable settings make this a must stop in Panama City.

I really liked the fried yuca appetizer and the arepas entree, the rest of the dinner was good, not awesome. We were a little dissapointed when the waiter told us they just had 2 o 3 wines available at the moment... the location is pretty good, so i would said it was an above average experience.

Have to apologize if there was something lost in translation. We have a huge wine cellar selection and get many commendations on the wine selection. Very strange. More

Grapes is good option to dine at the Casco Antiguo but somehow I left feeling a bit underwhelmed. The fried yuca appetizer was very good but the rest of my dinner was just OK. I was expecting a much better wine list for a restaurant named "grapes" but the wine by the glass offer was mediocre, I didn't look at... More

The building in which Grapes is located has a wonderful rich history and it is worth going there just to connect to it. The food was good, but not exceptional in any way. We were frankly a bit surprised by how uninspired the menu was. All the old standards were there, but nothing stood out. I had the Slow cooked... More

I ate here with my wife. As someone who dines out very regularly, I have to say that this was a disappointment. Expensive for the price and food while not pedestrian is not great. I had the tuna tartare app - nothing inspiring about it at all. My wife had the salmon - meh. I had the octopus- with was... More

Went for group dinner of 8. Delicious, fresh seafood with great ambiance. 1 of my friends had flank steak which was delicious. The catch of the day on the day we went was delicious. The octopus and ceviche appetizers were fresh. Dessert was also very tasty. Excellent wine selection. Great location in Casco Viejo!

Not sure what to expect when we went there. We were pleasantly surprised by the food choices. They brought out fried yucca slices as an appetizer? I had a skirt steak which was cooked to perfection with a type of chimichurri sauce. My husband had the Grouper with pineapple habanero salsa. Dishes are al a carte. Would definitely dine there... Grapes is on a quiet side street in the Casco Antiguo - old city - it doesn't seem like much from the outside, but don't be fooled. This is a great dining experience in a beautiful dining room. Small, but quiet, the restaurant has a good wine list and a deep menu. The tuna tartare was fresh and delicious as... More

Great food in nice setting. One of the more formal places and more quiet in general. The food has good variety of italian options and is quite delicious.

This restaurant was highly recommended by our hotel and it didn't fail to impress us. The atmosphere was beautifully executed Spanish charm; the food was superb and the wait staff extremely professional. Reservation required. A must for your visit.
