We happened to stumble into this place and we are so glad we did!!! We were starving and ordered an appetizer and 2 entrees. Everything was fantastic. We even splurged on a bottle of wine because everything was just too perfect it called for a celebration. The pasta sauce was so authentic I couldn't believe I was still in Panama... More

Great, real Italian food, very friendly and effective staff, nice decor. Definitely one of our favourites in Panama. The pasta was simply delicious. Not the average Italian fare you get everywhere. The right place for a special evening out. We will be back soon!

We've been staying on Balboa Ave for a month and walking to dinner on the Uruguay trying all the restaurants we could find reviewed on tripadvisor. None impressed us enough to warrant a return visit. I hadn't noticed or read about Tomate y Amor before tonight but we were hungry and running out of options. The dining room was cool,... More

I was very hesitant eating here after walking by a few times and seeing it nearly empty. In the end...we ended up eating here on a Saturday night (late night). It was empty and our expectations were low, but we were tired and hungry and this was right next to our hotel. We were SOO pleasantly surprised. The food was... More

It's the best Italian food that I've had in Panama, but that's not saying a lot. Service was quite good. Food was only "okay".

Had a quiet dinner with my wife and found it very good. Our starters, boneless beef ribs and baby portobello mushrooms were excellent. The ribs tender and very tasty, the Portobellos sauteed with onions equally as delicious. The mains were a New York strip and am entraña wee done medium rare as ordered and very tender. The side Baked Potato... More

I thought the food was mediocre. I tried to order a wrap that they were out of so I settled for a hamburger. It was greasy and had little flavor. My husband had seafood pasta. The clams and shrimps were so tiny they seemed like scraps. Over all, this place was expensive and far from Italian food.

Went to this restaurant on our last night in Panama, looking for a good meal, and wanted Italian. We got to restaurant early, about 6:30 pm and were the only ones there. I started with a glass of Norton Malbec, which was very good and served at the correct temperature! We had the grilled cajun shrimp appetizer, which was excellent.... More

I had lunch here while on vacation and was impressed with the quality of the service and the ambience of the restaurant. I had pasta that was clearly homemade and was very good although not spectacular. The salad was both beautiful and tasty. Panama is not a city renowned for great food and is not a destination place for those... More
