The ice cream was ok. The shop was a welcome change from the heat. I'd stop by again if I were in Casco Viejo, but wouldn't go out of my way just for this shop.
We bought ice cream and then went back then next day. The woman running the place that day was friendly and we enjoyed our interaction with her. The next day we went back in and first bought water. Forced to go back to this little casco viejo joint every day. Pricey but worth it. Thosefamiliar with gelato messina in Sydney will welcome this place as an equal in ice cream royalty.
How does an ice cream parlour become the number one restaurant out of 489 in Panama City? Simple...make the best ice cream ever. Most outstanding flavors. Strawberry sorbet tasted like fresh fruit and even the had seeds. After Eight flavor of mint and chocolate was like eating the candy but cool and refreshing after a walking tour of the area. Limited seating, one uni-sex bathroom, great price for gourmet flavors and good portion. AC was welcome after hot and humid walking tours.
Fresh and delicious. The flavors were interesting. After Eight was minty and perfect. The coconut was divine - creamy yet substantial and loaded with shreds of fresh coconut. The strawberry tasted of pureed berries complete with seeds. Great afternoon during the rain.. Service was attentive and air-conditioning frigid. The one downside is that there are only two tables.
