Nice sports bar and restaurant for the family and especially sports lovers!

I'm originally from Panama and was visiting home on vacation and my husband is a big boxing fan and especially a Roberto Duran's fan. He wanted to make sure that we visited the restaurant since the place where we were staying at was walking distance from the restaurant. The restaurant is filled... read more

Not far from the beaten tourist path, you'll find, but probably miss a few times before finding, this little restaurant which is a living boxing memorial to Roberto "Hands of Stone" Duran. Not just an amazing talent in the ring, but a national icon. They renamed an arena in Panama for the guy, yeah he's a big deal. Showed up... More

Located in “El Cangrejo” neighborhood, a bit hidden but not difficult to find. We couldn't get in the indoor dinning room as a private event was on, so we sat in the veranda area. As already mentioned, the place is fully decorated of memorabilia of one of the greatest boxers of all times. Service was fast and efficient. We had... More

Making a pilgrimage to La Tasca de Duran is sacred obligation for boxing fans. One of the greatest fighters of all-time, Roberto is also a "champion host" at his memorabilia filled restaurant. His generosity and friendliness with his fans and guests is legendary, and my wife and I were fortunate to visit recently on a Tuesday evening, and there he... More

It was a little scary getting there - our cab driver reached over to our doors to lock them at a certain point - but the food that we had was very good. We had some great appetizers, but couldn't stay for a full meal. The staff was very friendly and it was a bit of an adventure to find... More

The menu is quite extensive with lots of seafood choices. The best part is if you are an old boxing fan you might get up close to Roberto Duran!

If you are a tourist hoping to meet Roberto Duran you have to go on Friday or Saturday night at 9pm or later. If he is not traveling outside of panama he is almost always in the bar on friday and Saturday night. If you go at any other time you may get lucky and find him there but it... More

My husband and I both enjoy boxing and decided to try this restaurant, strictly because of the ownership. We arrived and were seated promptly. There was a large party behind us and as we were there another large party came in. The service was ok, not great. The beef, although flavorful was very tough. The house wine REALLY needed to... Great fish plates for the money. You might even get your picture taken with Roberto if he is there. Fights on tv, boxing history items etc ....

Bad service, warm beer, poor food.... Need I say more? The young lady behind the bar couldn't take her eyes off her phone long enough to acknowledge my existence... I was seconds away from walking out when a guy took my drink order... 20 minutes later he brought me a warm beer and took my food order... Wish I had... More
