Our tour guide took us here after we requested authentic Panamanian food and we are so happy he did! I recommend the Fiesta Panamanian dish if you'd like to sample a variety of local food. There were not many tourists in the area and as such, the servers did not speak English. However, I think that is not really an... More

Within our group of 8, some had come a second time to this restaurant as according to them it was very good. It is generally reasonable priced depending on what you ordered. Anything to do with seafood is expensive. I had seafood casserole $14, which was very tasty, most of the others had chicken rice $4. There was mostly tidy... More

There is nothing fancy about this place, but if you want to try some real, day-to-day Panamanian food in Panama City, this is the place to go, specially for lunch or breakfast. The arroz con pollo is my favorite!

This place was recommended by a panamanian friend. Excellent local food and really really good prices. The server was uber friendly and helped us to choose a couple of dishes that would give us a sample of what the locals eat. Highly recommend this place for a hearty dinner of food made with love.

I have not been to this restaurant yet, but I am planning to do it on my next trip to Panama since I have heard very good comments about it, specially about the native panamanian food and drinks served there.

I visited the branch on Via Argentina. This is a place where you come to eat. It's not about decor or ambience. It looks quite humble in its interior and exterior. I had a seafood dish that seemed like a Panamanian bouillabaisse only with more seafood and less liquid. It was delicious and extremely filling. I had quite the appetite... More

Our tour guide took us here when we asked for a good place with Panamanian food. The food and drinks were good and decently priced. Friendly wait staff but not as attentive, had to ask for a glass of water twice. When the bill came the waiter stood right there and wait for me to get out the cash.

El Trapiche is a old Panamanian institution that has been around for decades, however, it is dated and the same menu has persisted for a long time. It is a hit and miss place. Sometimes the food is good and other times is too salty or unpleasantly cold. In two occasions for breakfast, I ordered a steak with eggs, and... More

If you want to experience Panama cuisine this will be one place to visit. Nice looking place with a good variety of dishes to choose from. Prices are reasonable and the amount serve was reasonable as well. The good thing is the food was tasty and fresh. Try the Panama Platter which includes a few of the typical dishes from... More

Get the media jarra of Sangria! The sopa de mariscos is chock full of a variety of seafood. The staff is very accommodating. Prices are very reasonable.
