Great place for a quick lunch

My wife and I stopped with our driver (he is a local). He had a soup...we both had ceviche...all great. The only issue I had is that it seems most everywhere we went ...they charge more than what the menu (or the price tag at a grocery store) says. It wasn't work arguing...still good.

Busy Saturday night with wait, traditional Panamanian seafood-focussed cuisine, musicians. Requested water and mixed drinks; water was reluctant to come to the table. Server disappeared (on break?). Our minimal yet adequate Spanish was seen as an inconvenience, not as an invitation to break out some Panamanian hospitality. This is on the Amador Causeway which is constructing a park across the... This place is always packed at lunchtime with people waiting as well. Not sure if its because its almost the only place open at this time. Service is good, the food is inexpensive and not bad either.

We visited this place as the final meal for our tour group visit to Costa Rica and Panama. The setting is potentially good but currently the view of Panama City is obscured by a road construction wall. Service was slow from the start and repeatedly mistakes were made on orders and drinks. The white wine was warm, the cocktails weak.... More

One of my Panamanian host's long time favourites! Try Mixto de marisco al ajillo! Try to find one of the inside tables near the water! Later in the evening, take a leisurely walk along the Causeway near the colourful Museo de la Biodiversidad!

The food was greasy. The service was mediocre. The view of the city is blocked by a wall that has been put up along the Amador causeway.

Oh my, I ordered Sangria. It came in a PITCHER! Extra ice even. See my photo. Very good but probably enough for 3 people. Did I mention it was only $12?

The transition into Panama always throws me for a loop. So I grab a taxi and head out the causeway for Mi Ranchito. Good food, good location, good introduction to how nice Panama can be. I like it for dinner, the lights out on the water and the length of the drive out to the 'island' announce a change in... More

We had lunch at Mi Ranchito. It was very busy but the wait was not too long. We were seated outside and there was a cooling gentle breeze. The food was excellent. For us it a place to taste local dishes. The service was excellent but our language challenge made communication somewhat difficult. The wait staff was very accommodating and... More

This place is popular with tourists and locals. Very good place with a great location. Parking can be a slight problem. But it is very reasonable and the food and service is good. Very casual place. We enjoyed the food can't wait to get back there!
