DELICIOUS and affordable dinner in Managua

I will start by saying that I visited Ola Verde about a week ago.. and am leaving this review because I am craving their food so bad right now and wish I could go back to Nicaragua just to eat there again! We were SO glad we made it to this restaurant at the end of our visit in Nicaragua.... read more

Healthy eating. Sea bass was excellent. Salads were great. Owner was very personable. Attention to detail.

I'm a "Foodie". The quality of the food I eat is important to me. I've not found a restaurant that consistently serves a high quality, organic meal, in all of Nicaragua, as good as Ola Verde. I eat here frequently and have yet to experience a bad meal. Sure, sometimes there's a miscommunication with the waitstaff (my spanish isn't perfect)... More

On our way to the movies we saw a banner advertising jazz at Ola Verde on Friday 6th of Feb and decided to change plans as we had not been there since we arrived back in Managua. I had my favourite appetizer, corvina and octopus carpaccio, and the Mediterranean platter, and my husband had a delicious caponata followed by a... More

In Managua on business and searched out some vegetarian food online. Not many options but Ola Verde pops up first everywhere. I entered at 4pm, hungry. Walking in the entrance it looked like a store not a restaurant...a few isles of jars and cans and a few fridges. To the left I saw the restaurant through a glass door. I... More

We had an absolutely great meal. All the dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection, and we were impressed with the quality of the ingredients, but also with the extensive knowledge about the food and food origins by the staff. I highly recommend it, and will definitely go back.

"Fridge didn't work, its freezing instead of cooling" my dad ordered lasagna, and sent it back 2 times because it was frozen. Otherwise, too expensive for the portion you get.

Really enjoyed both lunch and dinner here. Everything was so fresh and you felt honored by the presentation, preparation and ingredients. And the owner is a wonderful hostess and so knowledgeable and passionate about nutrition and education. Yum!

The food is not bad, just average for my taste. There is one particular things I didn't like; inside the restaurant has a humid smell and the entrance does not give the best impression: it has the presentation of a grocery store (this can be irrelevant to some). However, the atmosphere is nice at the terrace; a decent place to... More

I am a regular client of the OLA VERDE, they have great meals for the health conscious and gourmet! the Deli has great vegetarian and vegan meals to go, also pastries and bread! they also sell organic produce from small farmer cooperatives. The house coffee and the regular performances are great!
