Unique French Nica Cuisine

We had the Best dining and breakfast experience at Azul restaurant in Managua. They are professional and courteous. We loved our food. Chef David makes a combination of French food with a Nicaraguan flair, it adds a special touch. The meat is so tender that it melts in your mouth and the... read more

The restaurant is decent as we were starving after the flight and just ate here since we were staying at Hotel Contempo. Dinner was better than breakfast. Service was ok, but it was a bit pricy in comparison to other places in the area. The last night we skipped dinner here (even though it was convenient) and ordered pizza delivery.... More

We have been here several times but this has been the worst. 4pm, no one else around, 6 employees and no one wants to take our order. They gave us menus then just watched us. Served us no bread, and only revisited our table when we called for them. So very disappointed. From now on we'll take the short bus... More

This was another one of those Tripadvisor recommendations that turned out to be mediocre. After reading about the place and seeing the Azul website photos, I expected it to be an exquisite restaurant. We were even dressed up for the occasion. But, it is what it is, a restaurant in a hotel lobby with a TV (showing lingerie football at... More

Obviously since my last trip there is new staff and mgt. The food was consistently better, and the service very much improved. Very affordable.

My wife and I <and two kids> found ourselves stuck in Managua for our Wedding Anniversary and I remembered and article about this French guy cooking food in Managua and finding no love, and having to incorporate Nicaraguan elements. Well, after a couple of searches I figured it out and we went and loved it!! My wife started with the... More

Our hotel recommended this place for a special dinner, so when the night of our anniversary came, we had him arrange transport to this nearby hotel with its great restaurant. Wonderful French food, a glass of wine, and...well it was a night to remember!

Enjoyed an exquisite lunch here .... Perfect Caesar salad, steak in peppercorn sauce, and a pineapple Tarte Tatin. We eat out frequently in Managua, and this is by far the best food we've had. It is obvious that there is a classically trained yet inventive French chef in the kitchen who has found the best purveyors in town. The meat... More
