I dined at La Tour Bistro based on TripAdvisor ranking -- and was not disappointed. Restaurant was a little difficult to find (near American School, on 2nd floor of modern but rather antiseptic strip mall), but once inside I was very happy with my choice. The owner, Francisco, is a Salvadoran who trained and worked in France for a number... More

La Tour Bistró is truly a little piece of France in El Salvador. La Tour may look unassuming from the outside... But inside every dish is full of flavour. The staff was genuinely friendly and the chef greeted each table personally. They made us feel like a guest at their home rather than customers in a restaurant. It has been... More

The food is extremely good and the prices even better. Oh party was quite large and we all were very satisfied by the quality, service and value. The owners should invest a little more on decor but this is outweighed by Flavor. Keep it consistent and no doubt this eatery will be among the best in San Salvador.

Gave it a try for my husband's birthday and we were not disappointed. Absolutely wonderful french fare. Everything is fresh and made by chef Perla, who has lived and studied in France. Had Pate de foie as an appetizer and then chose Moules Marinier (mussels in white whine) while hubby tried Moules Forestier (mussels in cream sauce with bacon and... More

Went on a Saturday night to show off this new place to friends and it did not disappoint! The charcuterie & fromage (deli meat and cheese) plate is a must have for starters. For mains, I had the smoked salmon crepes and it was the BEST outside of France! Desserts are always spot on and with the creme brulee (with... More

Classic French bistro food, but with fresh local Salvadoran ingredients. The owners have created a small, intimate space, and they welcome you with friendly personal attention. The food is prepared with simple elegance, no showy presentations or rich sauces. The chef lets the flavor of the food take center stage, and he prepares everything with understated excellence. La Tour is... More

I found out about this restaurant by coicendence , and I must say it is one of the best restaurants in San Salvador I have had, the service was very personal, I tried the pâté , it was amazing , and the salmon crepe, the crepe was thin and flavorful , I can't wait to go back and try some... More

La Tour has become a place we visit about once a week. They make you feel like a guest in their home! The French onion soup is really nice and the cheese plate is a must have to share. The Salmon Crepes are wonderful and a favorite.
