Very Affordable Restaurant Great Food, Wine and Service

We went out on Saturday Night, taking mostly fish based food. Experience was very pleasant, tasty food, nice internal outfit, very friendly staff and house red wine was definitely a great choice. I would recommend it big time!

I never miss the chance to dine at Pantagruel. Near the Golden Gate, it's centrally located and in good weather there's a patio but inside, in two dining areas, it's cozy and quaint. Service is always top notch and the food consistently impressive. The bruschetta, tomato bread soup and pasta with rabbit are stand out items. There's always a good... More

I have been to this restaurant on a number of occasions and I have never been disappointed with the food nor the choices of wine, the choice of dishes is varied and there is always the chef's specials, the food is freshly cooked and the portions are satisfying. The vine choice is remarkable and if I offer a little advice... More

It is probably one of the best italian cuisine in Kiev. Cooking and service levels are very professional and consistent for many years. Affordable prices and intersting wine card, season offers and regions fests. But despite the presence of italian chef everything is too "industrial". What you shouldn't expect from this restaurant is the "spirit of Italy". You can hardly... More

As part of my last week in kiev i visited my fave resto. Pantagruel keeps its spot as best italian ex aequo with Fiori. Tsgliattelle midollo e tartufo, fettucine acciughe e asparagi, sgroppino. @foodpasha

I went to this restaurant based on trip advisor recent reviews. Maybe I went on a bad night but my meal was below average (at best). Bruschetta was way over-oiled, in fact swimming in the stuff, and the pasta main course was only just passable, being bland and fairly taste-free. For what was basic Italian food, this is way over-priced... More

Very good vine list, with, I would say, democratic prices. Nice, polite people. Love their pasta. They offer cork fee.

Pantagruel is an Italian restaurant in the city center, across the street from the historical site Golden gate. I could not see a restaurant sign outside (!) but my friend new its location. The decor is Country style, humble. The place is fairly small and on weekends I suspect reservations are needed. I barely noticed the very low jazz music... More

After spending three years in Kyiv I have finally decided that Pantagruel is my favorite restaurant. The food is always amazing, the service is above average for Ukraine, and the prices are about mid-range for a nice place like this. The atmosphere is cozy in the winter but great in the summer. In the summer they open the outside seating... More

We have been to restaurant many times, and the food is indeed as good or even better than the reviews. The wine list is fantastic and decently priced. It's a classic. Pasta with rabbit is my favorite.
