When an indian restaurant features chinese cho mein as dish of the day, it tells the story. Food was bland, no taste, no spice, no ambiance. You wont see me again

When this restaurant was on the main street (Khreschatyk), I loved going there from time to time. Prices a bit higher than average, but the food is delicious and worth spending on it. Then it moved to Velyka Vasylkivska (former Chervonoarmiyska) street and I decided to give that place a try as I knew that the previous location was great.... More

Enjoyed a late lunch at Himalaya today after spotting its new location. (I mistakenly had thought this venue had closed.) The New Himalaya is located in a slimmed-down premises relative to its previous locale, which, frankly, had started to get a bit tatty. However, the decor of the new Himalaya is kitsch eclectically mixing some of the familiar items removed... More

Since i have heard many good praises i went to check it out. First, i hate when they bring all the food together so that either you chow until you choke or the food gets cold. Second, food tasted a bit microwaved and digestion lasted 24h. I think i will give it another try to clear any doubt. Stay tuned

What used to be a traditional Indian family restaurant has now got a new place and a new man to lead it. I loved the old set up very much for various reasons, nice people, close proximity, good-enough food and not so biting prices. I was skeptical about the forced-geographical change that the business had to go through. I m... More

Excellent food and service. I didn't know that there were Indian restaurants in Kiev, but there it was on Khreschatik street. :)

Thought it odd having an Indian while in Kiev, but restaurant was recommended. After finding the stairs to get to the restaurant (hidden behind another bar), looked nice inside, quite authentic. Food was OK. Nothing wrong with it, but not curry as I am used to. We all opted for the spicey option when asked, and good job we did... More

In a region with bland food, this restaurant is a gem. We ordered 2 chicken dishes and a "spinach mass, " all were great, but we had to make sure to tell the waitress we wanted it done the same way all the Indians in the restaurant were having it. We got a belly dancing treat for a birthday party... More
